Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel New DLC ‘Lady Hammerlock The Baroness Pack’ Lands On Linux

Alas, I kinda burnt myself out on BL2, so I've not played as much of TPS as I would like to.

Still, I can see myself losing hundreds of hours in TPS when I get around to it!

Quote- In development for PC, Mac, & Linux

Wow, in development for Personal Computers, a specific brand of Personal Computers, and an operating system that can be run on Personal Computers!

Sarcasm aside, it looks like a pretty cool game. I love the graphics.

Good choice!

I got my 970 back in October, and I'm very happy with it.

Just updated my CPU from an i5-3570K to an i7-3770K too, and I am a very happy gamer. :D

We encountered this problem a few years, so we just use green drives we had as nightly backup disks now. I wasn't aware there was a fix though, so thanks for the article, Skully!

Steam Hardware Survey For December 2014

Thanks Liam.

Is anyone else seeing weird graphs? Like "Other" is accounting for 100% of PC video cards, "AMD" is accounting for 100% of PC processors, and the other four graphs have no values at all?

Steam Hardware Survey For December 2014
10 January 2015 at 9:09 pm UTC

Quotethe mysterious "Linux 3.10" which is most probably Arch....

That's unlikely, as Arch uses Linux 3.17.6 (or 3.14.28 for LTS, or 3.18.1.201501042021 for grsecurity-based kernel)

As always, this survey is interesting to look at, but doesn't mean much.

EDIT: It'd be nice if a link to the survey results was included in the article. :)

Audiosurf 2 Released For Linux, Our Thoughts, It Rocks
9 January 2015 at 8:45 pm UTC

Weird, it's showing up as Windows-only at the moment.

I'm not in too much of a rush to get this in any case, I got bored of the original some time back, but I still get emails telling me I've been dethroned from time to time..

Satellite Reign, Class-based Strategy Game Released In Early Access For Linux

It was actually SSR (whatever that is).

Turning m_SSREnabled off in the game fixed it for me. Both m_SSRR options seem to be fine for me (possibly because I have a GTX 970 which can handle them?).

Anyway, I'm enjoying the game now. :D

Satellite Reign, Class-based Strategy Game Released In Early Access For Linux

Quoting: CheesenessEdit: Oh, there is some SSRR (screen space raytraced reflections) related issue where you can wind up with big blobby black shadows covering up the game, but I had that turned off.

I think that may be what I'm experiencing. It looked like someone had scribbled over most things with a black fountain pen, so half the screen was a jittery black mess. I tried on all three graphics quality settings in the launcher and all three had the same problem, but I'll poke around in the in-game settings when I get back from work tonight and see if I can work around it.
