I mostly ignored the Daedalic Bundle at first, because it includes several non-Linux games. Now I'm going to reconsider my choice.

Also, there are lots of bargains for Daedalic titles in the GOG summer sale. Yay!

What are you playing on Linux this weekend and what do you think about it?

Elliot Quest.
  • The good: Long and polished game. Good music. It's difficult enough to enjoy the achievements but not too difficult. I love metroidvanias.

  • The bad: I'm not a fan of retro graphics in general. Some mechanics are not explained anywhere and that's frustrating sometimes. There are some non-official manuals to solve that though.

I spent hundreds of hours with the NES version of this game. I still remember the epic day when I discovered the bug to "resurrect" the characters as invisible ghosts. Yes, I mean the old days, before Internet spoiled the videogames.

Stainless is not a game developer but a political party.

What have you been playing on Linux lately and what do you think?

Ascendant: Very good, similar to Rogue Legacy but more challenging.

MagicalTimeBean (Soulcaster and Escape Goat series): Ian Stocker's games are charming and with a unique gameplay. I look forward to Soulcaster III.

X2 The Threat: I was planning just to have a quick look at the game before starting with X3 Terran Conflict, but now I can't stop playing.

Doom 3 BFG Edition: Ho, ho, ho.

Quoting: coryrj19951I've been playing Myth 2. Just got this about a week or so ago :D
Interesting, I also want to play Myth 2 eventually. Did you use Project Magma?

I finally discovered 'The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth' and it's damn good

Quoting: Mr. Pinsky...but it's deeper (and more disturbing) than you might expect.
Unless you watched the trailer of course. They should make the movie.
