The Steam store update will require developers to use actual screenshots of the game, finally

I didn't play Broforce, but I suppose the trailer doesn't include any cutscenes either. I hate that trailer. On the other hand, Not A Hero features a superb trailer for a game with a similar-looking gameplay. They could be used as "right" and "wrong" examples in a marketing course.

Quoting: oldrocker99Personally, I'm tired of trailers that don't show one second of actual gameplay. Any game can have great-looking cutscenes.

TRI: Of Friendship and Madness. Good game and awesome developer, but I had to stop playing it because of the motion sickness.
Don't Starve. The auto-updater is broken beyond repair, but once you learn to skip it... wow. This game is in my top 10 and I look forward to play Reign of Giants, Shipwrecked and any other DLC that may be released in the future.

I played the demo of Depths of Peril and I don't think I'll try any of their demos ever. It's a waste of time because I want to buy all their games already. I'll probably wait for the game to be available at GOG though.

Microsoft's latest tactics show Gabe Newell of Valve was right to worry

Valve should be worried indeed. Microsoft is several steps ahead in the consoles market already and they compete at a great advantage in the PC market. Steam users are not moving from Windows to SteamOS in a significant number, so they'll move to Windows 10 eventually.
We see the Windows Store as an ugly restricted platform, but most people doesn't know or care about that. And those who do are using GOG anyway. Most gamers will start using it, even if it's only because of the exclusive titles, and after that they'll have to choose where to acquire the next game... Valve is probably going to lose a significant amount of sales, I won't be surprised if we see changes in their strategy in order to fight back.

Don't forget Intel.

I also think AMD is lagging behind, as usual.
