Quoting: melkemindKind of funny to see Rocket League on there when it's no longer even available for sale. Valve is definitely "being the bigger man" in their conflict with Epic.
There's still around 50000 people playing Rocket League on Steam every day. And Valve doesn't really have a conflict with Epic. It's Epic that has a conflict with Valve.

AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution comes to Gamescope for the Steam Deck

I hope they will integrate this into desktop Steam client. I am already using it with some games that either have problems with fullscreen or have limited screen resolution options, and it works like magic. But it is tedious manually editing launch parameters.

What makes Gamescope even more useful is that it has other scaling modes, besides FSR, such as integer scaling that can produce a much sharper image in some cases.

Quoting: rustybroomhandleSome in-game text is small and may be difficult to read
This is a problem on big screens running high resolution as well. I have my gaming setup on a TV approximately 3 meters away from the sofa, and some games have such small text that I cannot read it unless I run at something like 1280x720. Which results in jagged pixelated mess.

I cancelled 2 months ago, and I am happier for it. Was getting so many games that I have no real interest or time to play, and had to justify to myself that maybe I will play them at some point. Made me feel stressed about not being able to keep up.

To be honest, the difference does not look as striking as with Quake 2. I think this shows just how good the "fake" lighting can look if done right.

How does one try it out? Does it need to be enabled in some way?

Quoting: rustybroomhandle76%? Not good enough, it must be 100% or Linux fails! FAILS!
I see Linux as equivalent of console gaming. If you buy a PlayStation, you do not expect to be able to run XBox games. In the same way I fully realize that when running Linux I will not be able to play all Windows games, and that is fine.

The latest Call of Warfare does not run on Linux? Well, I am an adult with a full-time job, and a several hundred games backlog on Steam. By the time I will have time to even consider playing it, Call of Warfare 4 will be out, and I will still have hundreds of other games to choose from.
