I will only buy it if it comes in a wired variety. I think there is enough waste in the world without me dumping a bunch of batteries every week.
Also, from a purely practical perspective: I do not use a gamepad for all the games, so it may be laying around for a while. No fun finding out that the batteries are dead and need recharging / replacing when I do want to use it. Also, all the wireless input devices I have tried, had all sorts of stability and accuracy problems when not on full charge. Like a keyboard repeating key strokes, or a mouse pointer jumping around.
That said I do trip over the cables from time to time, so I know the sentiment. Hope they make both versions, so we can all be happy. :)

Glad to hear that it works for you. Your point is fair enough, I could have worded it better. I tested it with a generic gamepad that does not use xboxdrv.
Yeah, I am more of a "guest" than "staff" here. ;)

Quoting: ProfessorKaos64My gamepad works just fine. SteamOS brewmaster, Official Xbox 360 controller over wireless. While some gamepads do not work, I really feel staff here should have a few gamepads of the common variety before saying "gamepads do not work." I know you can't test everything though.

Single player can be a bit hard at times, but I had a blast playing this with a friend.
It is very nice as a party game because it levels the playing field for both experienced players and beginners. At times I would totally own my buddy thinking I am invincible, just so that moments later he would shoot a homing missile right up my shiny metal ass launching me right off the track. Our favorite mode was Rocket Party where you would only get explosive stuff. That is hilarious.
My only complaint is the lack of maps, so it eventually becomes repetitive.

AMD brought this on themselves. I used to be an AMD user, both CPU and GPU. But with every release fglrx driver was getting worse and worse. Crashing, not being able to change screen brightness. Then they dropped the card from the driver altogether while the open source driver had no 3D support yet. That was the last straw -- my next machine was Intel / NVIDIA.

Quoting: aristoriasit is really sad to see the linux world completely focus on nvidia/intel.
We already have an intel monopoly and the same will happen with nvidia.
Everybody has some kind of responsibility, especially reporters - free or not.
Why? Free enterprise! Just saying ...
