Developer of 'Steam Marines' talks sales, Linux represented 2% over the lifetime of it

well I dont know if these stats are correct or wrong...but check this out

Steam Marines has been in a Humble Bundle -> The Return of Space Boy Bundle <- for $1
Published 14 months ago

I dont know if that time was a Linux Build Released or not
checking the Linux depot --> Last Update about a year ago (August 21, 2015 – 13:22:24 UTC)

So how sales are calculated ??? Based on Bundle purchases?? or from Purchases that were not in bundle?
So having in mind that this game was published in 2013 for Windows and maybe mac and in 2015 it was released for Linux gaining 2% profit for a 3 year old game just from Linux users I consider it very good.

Maybe some users have already bought the bundle as well and wanted a port to Linux since they already had the game for $1.
Everything is a bit confusing

If you want to show real stats you have to release your game in day 1 for all platforms and the last day before you bundle your game you push out sales stats. That will show you the real percentage of each platform sales.

'Devil Daggers' is one of my biggest surprises this year for Linux gaming
7 November 2016 at 10:42 pm UTC

Well the last time I played this game I pressed ALT+F4 in the few sec tries because this game was all go round and round and got dizzy in a few secs with so many flash lights....
Didnt find it interesting or competitive or challenging, just running around like a headless chicken shooting things.
The only challenge I guess is to avoid getting dizzy..

My experience on Linux is very bad on this game. Actually I Cannot even start it since it takes all over my 2x Monitors and I am not able to configure the game.
I have posted this problem on steam forums but I guess no one cares about it ><

Quoting: m2mg2
Quoting: Plintslcho
Quoting: liamdawePrepare a coffee, as the first run takes a few minutes to load everything in. It seems it’s doing some sort of optimization and cache, so it will take about 3-ish minutes to even load enough to get to the Feral Interactive logo screen. This usually only happens once, but in some cases it may happen more often.

When you initially load a saved game at the main menu, it will take an additional 2 or 3 minutes of loading to get in,

Woa, that's an absolute deal breaker. I save and load often and having to wait a couple of minutes to continue playing absolutely breaks the immersion for me.

I'll pass then and continue playing the game on the PS4 instead.

I'm really curious to see the load times on my SSD. The ~10 second load times on Mad Max drives me crazy.

The first time run it takes 3 mins no matter what hardware you have.

It took 3 mins on a raid SSD, 64GB RAM :P
