When I start the game, it shows two rendering possibilities, Nvidia driver 545 and some LLVM CPU Idontknow, both declared unsupported, both crashing.

X (formerly Twitter)

I mean.. who doesn't know this at this point? Why not just write "on X"?

When quickly skimming through text, I would need some help to decipher "X". Like "... on the social media platform X". But as others said: I also take the wording as sort of distancing.

Quoting: Purple Library GuyBut if you're a minor player, none of the game developers give a damn about your machine; things will run on it or they won't. Consumers buy one of your machines if they happen to see an ad and think huh, maybe I'll get that. They don't have a long-running relationship with your brand. In that situation, you might as well keep iterating to the latest hardware so at least you get an advantage in specs over the big players.

Designing a new device doesn't come for free though...

Quoting: grigiHonestly, that mobile naming convention... It's terrible.

So many people I know absolutely despise anything "AI". (That includes me)

I started using AI for some aspects of software development (no code generation) and found it to be helpful in many (but not all) cases.

Am I correct in understanding that if the new model is a continuation of the 7040/8040 processor series, let's say 9040, you would be fine with that?

Don't know about grigi, but I don't have any idea where you take that from.

Kaspersky release a free Virus Removal Tool for Linux

Quoting: dubigrasuSo it requires an internet connection and asks you to agree to your data being handled and transmitted... somewhere. OK, two reasons to pass on it.
Still curious about it so I've sent the file to VirusTotal to analyze it. It shows some interesting details about what files it writes, copy or modify on your system, what IPs it tries to connect to and what commands it executes.
It also displays a warning: The sandbox CAPE Linux flags this file as: MALWARE, which looks worrisome, but truth be told, I'm a total noob about security, so maybe some one else could took a look and give some insights?
Is enough to send the file or url to VirusTotal ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VirusTotal ) or a similar site. I used this one since it accepts big file uploads.

I didn't check, but malware defense software might rightfully use techniques that malware uses as well.

Quoting: LachuFor example in License of Windows 10 exist text told, the software is not sold, but licensed.

And so is Linux.

If you use Linux, it is your operating system.

No. It's licensed. Of course you get way more rights than for Windows, but you're intentionally restricted, not due to law, but due to the makers intentions. (Which are totally ok for me.) I'm just pointing out that the mechanism is the same as with Windows: software licencing.

Quoting: slaapliedjeRight. One other thing in Linux's license defense. It isn't ever-evolving and is a proper license.

What do I mean by this? 'Your privacy agreement has been updated, agree to it to continue using the software.' Or the EULA updates that come after the purchase of the license. How is that even legal? If you consider a license agreement as a contract between you and the software company on how you can use their software (or what they don't want to allow) is updated all the time, they're basically like the Empire... Lando shouldn't have opened the package, apparently.

I don't think it is (here in Europe at the very least). Such things are a matter of being of finding someone to defend it. And of course, it's hard against a pile of money on the other side.

But, on the positive side, "shrink-wrap" licences have been fought and declared illegal (non-binding) here.
