I already had played Enemy Unknown for about 70 hours under Windows, but when it came out for Linux, I spent about the same amount of time with Enemy Within. Didn't even use any mod.
Do get it.

Quoting: pbOf course they *know* the real numbers, which however doesn't mean they want, or even can, share them with the world.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance, A CryEngine Game Linux Version Still Happening, Not Due Until After Windows

I'd call that minor annoyance, and for sure it's way less sad than not having a Linux version at all.

Quoting: vultureit is really sad when developer cannot name the platforms they develop for correctly.

it is even bigger fiasco when they make error when naming their primary platform

Has been featured several times in my favorite German paper(!) games magazine!

Quoting: IlyaThis is one of the most underreported games I know about. It looks amazing and looks like it will be amazing (very different things, first one is about visuals and the other about gameplay experience), yet very few people know about it and there are either few articles or they have largely gone unnoticed.

The Witcher 2 Has A New Beta For Linux, The Improvements Are Staggering
3 February 2015 at 3:39 pm UTC
In the properties, there's a build number: RMB, properties, local files. Mine shows: 503570.
The last but one update was a very small one with big impact, by the way. So perhaps, the last one was as well.

Quoting: wojtek88How can I determine if I use correct version of the Witcher 2? I've already had linux_public_beta selected in betas tab, there is no other beta that I can select and there was no big update downloaded by steam. Is there somewhere any information about game version?

Agree! Even if you don't want a single game from them, it would great news for all of us if they are porting them!

Quoting: ImantsFor me it depends what they port :). But to steam machines to be successful it needs help from big developers like EA, Ubisoft ore Blizzard because many still buy they're games.

Quoting: GuestI'm also one of those that 'got' it via Humble Indie Bundle 11, so I sort of wonder whether the deal to get it 'later' still is valid after this change of porters.....

I still have tough times to imagine that companies can work like this: Building up a solid technological base and a base of one thousand games over several years with very little hype compared to other companies.

Quoting: SoltrummanIt's a bit interesting that Valve's strategy for Steam OS, as far as i can tell, is quite different from what Sony and Microsoft are doing. Instead of exclusives and hype they seem to aim make it effortless to port games to Steam OS and then working with partners to gradually grow the platform. I hope we will hear more about Valve's "Plan" from GDC aswell.

Quoting: LinasI was quite young when I saw Alien for the first time. It freaked me out so much that I woke up that night screaming in my fathers arms. He was like "There is no way in hell you are watching the second one.", and I replied "Are you kidding? That was awesome!", and went back to sleep.
And have you been allowed to? :)
