I hope Valve opens up Steam Deck reservations for Japan soon. I'm sure it would be very popular and then we might get a lot more great Japanese games optimized for the Deck, or even ported to Linux.

This is amazing news for game preservation. Wii U is the only popular console without a good open source emulator.

Since they have packaged the Steam version as an AppImage it also won't work with Flatpak Steam. I've asked on Discord if they would consider switching to using the Steam Runtime Soldier instead, since that would solve both this and the Manjaro issue. They answered that they would look into it.

I hope they update the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, apparently the text is way to small on the Deck, would be great games to play on this device.
