Awesome game! I haven't played it since they migrated to ue5 and made some balance changes, but I had a blast with it shortly after it came out. It's absolutely GORGEOUS. Sometimes I'd just like flying around and not even doing much of anything.

Yes you're right, it really does. Especially those red lasers and isometric combat style. I too bought and refunded The Ascent, for me the combat was pretty bad, but the mapping system totally killed it for me. I could never figure out where to go, and often the directions would point me to areas WAY above my level where I'd get instakilled.

Quoting: melkemindIt reminds me of The Ascent, which I ended up refunding even though I liked the atmosphere and story. The combat killed it for me.

ha! Same exact here. Maybe just maybe it could be real-time-with-pause and also have a turn based mode similar to PoE2? Because like you all, I SUCK so hard at real time twitch action combat games. I will probably get it no matter what just to support this wonderful dev, but I do REALLY hope real time action isn't the only mode of combat.

Quoting: eldakingQuoting: Purple Library GuyQuoting: CatKillerSo did I. But this doesn't look turn-based. Cool and atmospheric and all, but I'm kind of crap at combat games so this is probably not for me.Quoteone Shadowrun fans might like to take a look at
I did really enjoy the Shadowrun games even though I don't generally get on with RPGs.
Yeah I went through a small roller-coaster of expectations. "Oh no they are making an RPG this time, but wait their Shadowrun RPGs were these great tactical games, oh no the end of the trailer suggests it is not even turn-based".

1) Raise lots of money from hapless investors who don't understand any of what you just said
2) enrich the core few leaders of this scam company
3) burn through cash like it's the end of the world
4) go out of business
It'd be nice if we could just skip to number 4 and be done with it already.

Quoting: fewtariusBetween SteamFork, Bazzite, ChimeraOS, and all of the other open source gaming distributions out there, what will this one do differently?

I agree with everyone else here. This "company" reeks of scammy behavior, and being associated with nonsense "web3" crap just hammers that home.
Stay away. Stay as far away as possible. Nothing good will ever come of this.

I absolutely love the warhammer universe, so this is interesting, BUT ... it looks like this is primarily a multiplayer shooter? Is that right? It constantly mentions pvp and pve on the store page. If so that's fine, and I hope people enjoy it, but not for me. If it has some sort of solo single player campaign I'd be interested for sure. Gives me bigtime old school gears of war vibes.

Their pace of development is just wild. I don't know how they do it. For short bursts I can understand, but they seem to be able to maintain long term insane dev progress just constantly. I wonder if they have ever done behind the scenes on their workflows or environments or etc.
Deadlock from Valve no longer a secret - store page is up and we can finally talk about it

Twitch is DEFINITELY not ultra rich. They did massive layoffs earlier this year plus they have never made a single penny as a business. They obviously do have amazon as a backer, but without bezos at the helm, lots of projects are looking to be sold off / shut down. I'd say if there are shortcoming with the twitch service, it's not because they don't care ... it's because they don't have the resources to do much of anything.

Quoting: Fester_MuddOh a Twitch category! Nice, but millions of people can't follow Deadlock on Twitch because Twitch have decided to limit the amount of games to follow as category. They haven't even indicated what exactly the limit of games is that you can follow as category.
You can only quit following games through Twitch mobile app and then add new ones. Dropping even 20 games won't do anything on desktop/browser
Basically Twitch is a one big headache in so many aspects nowadays and they don't seem to care at all because they're ultra rich and there is no real alternative if YouTube is not counted. Kick is in such infancy its even worst than Twitch.
