I have nothing of value to add, except to say that I love opposite land. In opposite land I'm pretty!

We may see a Steam Deck refresh with WiFi 6E

Quoting: MarlockThanks!
I've tried finding out how good or bad linux support is for that chip but found nothing...

...so I'm probably being as blind in that task as I was finding out which chip it is, LOL
Unless I'm reading this wrong, that chip in turn uses the Qualcomm QCA206x Wi-Fi 6E chip.

Annoyingly I can't find anything about Linux support for that one either...

Quoting: PenglingStill, that does make the case of Hotshot Racing an odd one, as it's flawless, but rated Unsupported.
If you check SteamDB for the detailed compatibility report it was evaluated quite a while back, 24 February 2022. A quick skim through the bug tracker confirms it was broken back then.

I'm not sure how often Valve re-evaluates games, but I bet there's quite a backlog.

MonoGame plan to create a non-profit foundation to support development

Quoting: tuubiMono is short for mononucleosis, which has no connection to herpes.
I mean, it is caused by the Epstein–Barr virus which technically is human gammaherpesvirus 4. But it sure doesn't carry the stigma of genital herpes, and I have never heard of anyone catching glandular fever being described as having herpes...

Anyhow, these confusions surrounding names tend to be quite localized. Around here I think MonoGame would probably be construed as something involving sound for games (mono as a single channel audio) or possibly a game engine made explicitly for single player games (mono as synonym to single)?

Native Spanish speakers would probably not be as confused as Mono in this case refers to word for monkey. The Mono project was started by a company named Ximian (simian is another word for the higher primates) which later became Xamarin (a Tamarin is a species of monkey).

Poor Embracer Group. Maybe Microsoft or EA could step in and save the day?

Linux Mint Debian Edition 6 'Faye' enters Beta

Quoting: Purple Library GuyNot you, more slaap. Of course slaapliedje has this tendency any time any distro whatsoever is mentioned to say basically "Why would anyone ever have any reason to use or develop any other distro but Debian? Gosh they must all be morons for even contemplating such a thing!"
So I can't really take it as being against Mint in particular. Still kind of rude.
Oh, I see.

Yeah, guess I should have phrased my reply differently. I obviously only speak for myself.

I loved the mix of puzzle/platformer/shooter in the first games. Always did have a problem with all the killing though:

- Lara, birds are our friends - please don't shoot... *blam blam blam*
- Look Lara, what a majestic canis lupus, they hardly ever attack people. If you just sneak around.... *blam blam blam*
- Wow, Lara! You found a dinosaur! Those were thought to be extinct.,,, *blam blam blam* - Nevermind, extinct it is.

Shooting digital people, no problemo. Shooting digital animals, big problemo!

Turns out the Wikipedia entry for Mint is a bit more descriptive. It specifically list the MintTools suite developed specifically for the distro,

Quoting: whizseAnyhow, most of us are just curious, not trying to question or attack Mint .
Could have fooled me, to be honest.
That does make feel bad and I want apologize. I'm not sure what it was in my reply that came of as antagonistic?
