Quoting: damarrinThat version bump is brutal, these are really recent drivers.
Yup. And not really recommended:

"Mesa 22.0.0 is a new development release. People who are concerned with stability and reliability should stick with a previous release or wait for Mesa 22.0.1."

Quoting: jordicomaWhy anyone would play on proton "Beneath a Steel Sky"?. "Beneath a Steel Sky" its freeware and it runs perfectly with scummvm (is where I played this game).
And the sequel "Beyond a steel sky" it has native support.
Well I supose if someone wants it could be run.
The version on Steam is not native, and Proton/Steam Deck does not use Roberta or anything similar to run these games through a native ScummVM.

The Windows version of ScummVM Beneath a Steel Sky ships with was apparently using some text-to-speech API that wasn't supported in Proton previously.

It might, but it haven't happened yet.

Check the stats for native releases by year on Steam. It's pretty constant, even with the arrival of Proton.

Quoting: Cyba.Cowboy"Added support for laptop privacy screens."

What exactly is a "laptop privacy screen"?

They only ones I've ever heard of or seen are those things you physically stick to the display... But I don't know why you'd need software support for that, so obviously they're referring to something else here.
Yeah that is odd.

There are actually built in privacy screens in some laptops, HP SureView for example. But it doesn't seem to need any sort of driver support (it's a pure hardware feature).

Heroes of Might and Magic II recreation 'fheroes2' gets improved language support

Not really any conflict. It's SOP for engine recreations.

Edit: Just so there's no confusion: the "free" in fheroes is the same free as in Free Software. It doesn't refer to price.
