First-person horror mystery 'Heliophobia' has Linux support and it's very weird

It was a decent game. I don't usually care for survival horror games with run and hide mentalities but I enjoyed Heliophobia despite that.

My full thoughts were already on metacritic:

Quoting: michaLooks really cool. Will give it a try despite the concerns. I hope it's not too long stretched though.

@liamdawe did you finish it? if so how long was it?
You can likely finish it between 3-4 hours, didn't feel like it went on for too long.

I would concur with this. I don't have a specific time but it felt like 3-4 hours to me.

I am not usually a fan of dating sim games but something about this looks enjoyable.

It is a good game with a good story. Ran great on Solus for me. It is also on Itch.io for those who prefer DRM free but don't like GOG.

My backlog will get me through a nuclear winter so delays are fine with me. Just want to enjoy the finished product.

I enjoyed the demo and backed the Kickstarter so I'm hoping they find success and can finish it with a Linux version.

Obsidian Entertainment and inXile Entertainment have officially joined Microsoft

Worst case this signals the end of native Linux games from both companies and possibly even future games being locked to the Windows store. Anyone who disagrees has a much more rosy view on Microsoft's history than I do. Before you say they have changed answer this: what have they done for Linux that didn't simply benefit the Windows platform ? EEE in full swing here.

I worry about whether this will work outside of Steam but any Linux VR progress is better than none.

Feral Interactive have put out the system requirements for Total War: WARHAMMER II, due on Linux this month

Quoting: GuestAnyway, I don't meet the CPU specs for this game, officially, but I think the high core count might end up carrying me through.

From what I could tell the i3-4130 was about 50-60% faster in single threaded apps but the 1055T was 25% faster in multi threaded apps. If the game uses 4 or more CPU cores you should be ok.

Quoting: EgonautFeral still only supporting Intel CPUs, guess I can't play the game then ...

Feral, there are more Brands than Intel who build good CPUs!

All these requirements mean is they didn't test on any AMD CPUs. If you truly believe that the game won't work on AMD CPUs then you don't understand PC gaming or PC hardware. I for one can say every Feral port I own has worked on various AMD CPUs.
