I enjoyed Never Alone so I am looking forward to this. Hopefully it sees a DRM free release like Never Alone did. Those that wish to see one can vote here:

The Long Dark has a big survival mode update in preparation for overhauling the story mode

Quoting: ShmerlDoes anyone experience a hang on startup in the GOG version?

See https://www.gog.com/forum/the_long_dark/audio_errors_on_linux

It's quite annoying and basically makes it unplayable.

I fired up my GOG copy (version 1.30) to see and had no issues. There was a startup screen that was all distorted and glitchy but I hit escape which brought me to the main menu. I was able to play 15 minutes of the survival mode and had no crashes or other issues. Specs are in my PC info but here's more in depth:

AMD Ryzen 5 2600X | 16GB DDR4-3000 CL15 | MSI RX 580 8GB Gaming X | Mesa 18.1 | Samsung 850 Evo 250GB | Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming | Corsair AX1200 | Solus 3 | Kernel 4.16.14-75.current

Was skeptical of how much I would like it but I enjoyed that 15 minute session. I will try it on Linux Mint in the next couple days and see if I have any issues there.

(I had to edit so many times because I no spel gud tonight)

I'm looking forward to this but am really hoping the Linux version comes to GOG. The Linux symbol was there and then removed so I don't know if it will at launch or later.

Game looks interesting and the price is more than right for an early access title. Picked it up before work today. Thanks for the heads up.

Beep boop the Feral Interactive port radar has a UFO sighting for a new Linux port

I'm going to join in with guesing Agony. It makes more sense than DOOM given the anti Linux stance of Bethesda and nothing else regarding entering Hell comes to mind. Either way will be interesting to see the reveal.

The former Linux dev lead from Feral Interactive has moved to Unity

I was very confused at first because my mind went to the DE Unity not the game engine Unity. Upon reading makes sense haha. Hopefully he can help make Unity better for LInux because it has gotten steadily worse over the last 6-12 months. Never thought I would see the day I hope for a game to use UE4 over Unity for Linux.

What Linux games are you looking forward to this year? Here's my top picks

Life is Strange: Before the Storm is my top game for sure. I can't wait for that and will day 1 purchase it from Feral's site when it is available. I am also interested in Serious Sam 4 and INSOMNIA: The Ark from your list. I would like to add We Happy Few but I have little to no confidence a Linux version will be coming out. That game has such as troubled development history at this point I would have doubts even if I were a Windows gamer. As for games not mentioned on the list I am looking forward to that should be out in 2018:

You can now pre-order the Linux-powered Atari VCS games console, a lot more details revealed

I would be interested in GOL covering it ut I have to agree in pausing to call it Linux gaming. For me the big thing will be if you can install any game you want onto it or if you will be locked to their store. For me part of Linux is freedom and being locked down kind of goes against that. I would also be interested in whether I could load a different OS. See this is why consoles aren't for me: the first thing I try to do with them is make them into something other than a console.
