No playable demo and $20 is the max I would normally spend on a kickstarter game. I will have to pass.

If you haven't already you can vote here for a DRM free release:

Wish devolver digital brings Shadow Warrior 2 to Linux though...

EDIT: Liam should have used this video: https://youtu.be/QSZGsborBXE (they definitely bought me XD)

I seem to remember reading recently that the staff that had helped bring Shadow Warrior (2013) to Linux were no longer there or something to that effect in regards as to why Shadow Warrior 2 hasn't been brought to Linux but I can't find the link at the moment. May have been just gossip on Reddit. In any case they could farm out the work if they wanted so it would be a weak excuse.

how you know if the steam version is with DRM? it doesnt have multiplayer afaik, so it probably wont use steamworks and if the developers do not add any other DRM stuff then its DRM free there also

You can feel free to assume that the Steam version won't have DRM. I choose to assume that it will. We can have this round about all day every day if you want but Steam in of itself is DRM. Steam doesn't allow me to download the install files like Itch or GOG do, it installs the game for me. If I uninstall the game then I still need to log into Steam to redownload it. If I download the install file from GOG it is mine for life even if I uninstall the game. This is not rocket science. If Steam is DRM that you can live with then by all means enjoy it. Just don't try to pass of Steam as DRM free. Don't try to say that a game probably doesn't have DRM. If you don't want to see a version that is going to be 100% DRM free for sure then don't vote at the link but don't try to pass your justifications off on others.

Quoting: StrangerWe'd love to have a GOG release when we exit Early Access, though it's not up to us for now :)

You can try itch.io for in development versions (it should be quite easy) or even your own site. So those who buy DRM-free releases only won't need to wait.

I came here to say this. If GOG is not putting your game up then Itch.io is always another DRM free option. Hopefully I may be able to pick it up later this month.
