It depends on whether you're looking for a stealth game or a shooter games (Deus Ex) or a melee combat and car game like Mad Max. Also you can beat Deus Ex in less time than Mad Max since it isn't open world so depends on what you're in the mood for.

Quoting: baccilusI have i5 [email protected] + 24GB RAM and GTX 1060 6GB. I think I am set but I have also recently got Mad Max and am really confused on which should I start first. I took nearly 3 months to complete Tomb Raider, since I don't game on daily basis.

I'd be interested to know the total number of Linux respondants rather than the percentage. If there was a bigger influx of Mac and Windows gamers than Linux gamers than our percentage would fall. As long as the number of Linux gamers keeps rising then I don't care about a percentage. In a way it could still be a good thing. More PC gamers overall are more potential future Linux gamers.

Yet another reason to kick myself over getting that RX 480 over a GTX 1060 back in September. My GTX 680 is now the minimum haha. Oh well, I'll still be interested in the game.

Seems kinda interesting. Could anybody provide a similar game ? Trying to get an idea what the gameplay is like. Hopefully the Linux versions gets to GOG, they only have the Windows and Mac versions at the moment.

If it makes it's way to a DRM free version i'll pick it up. GOG has Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator but I'm not sure if that's the same game.

Why Linux games often perform worse than on Windows

As long as I have 60 FPS minimum I don't mind if Windows has more. My main issue is usually the difference is much bigger. Pillars of Eternity for instance ran on Windows on my HD7950 at over 100FPS while on Linux I got 20-40 with that same card. On a GTX 680 and GTX 960 it still dropped to 40-50 FPS at times on Linux. Several other games give similar results on Linux such as Painkiller: Hell and Damnation, Saints Row IV, etc. What keeps me going is my huge backlog. I am willing to play other games that I can play at 60FPS+ while I save up for better hardware and hopefully Linux makes progress as well. Patience is the key. Linux has made great strides over the last couple years and hopefully it continues in the right direction.

Very good idea. I did so myself for Sky Break. I also added it to the community wishlist at GOG in case anyone else wants to vote for it.

Shoot the developers an email maybe? One reason why Megabyte Punch now has a Linux version up on GOG is because I contacted the dev about it.

I can only speak for myself but I for one don't wish games only on GOG. I prefer to buy them on GOG but understand other people prefer Steam. I think it's the best for everyone when we both get the versions we want.
I am actually the opposite of you. I started to prefer DRM free as my collection grew because it became more of a risk and a realization that Valve has the power to take my games away by banning my account. They may never do that but they have the power. If GOG were to cease to exist tomorrow I have all of my games downloaded in multiple locations so I would be unaffected.

Quoting: LinasQuoting: ShmerlWhy no GOG release?I hope this will not derail the discussion, but I personally appreciate Steam and the service it provides. I used to prefer DRM-free when I had tens of games. But when it went into hundreds after a bundle frenzy, I have no way to store or manage all of them myself. It's like trying to download all of Netflix.

Is GOG slow at adding Linux games or are publishers and developers slow at giving it to them ? A lot of Linux games GOG lacks I find Humble Store, Itch.io and IndieGameStand also lacks. GOG couldn't affect other stores.
