I just grabbed Bendy and the Ink Machine (native) and its prequel, Boris and the Dark Survival (not native, but rated Platinum on ProtonDB), as a bundle for £4.68. I played partway through Bendy back when I owned a Switch, and it's been on my re-buy list for a bit - couldn't pass it up at this price!

QuoteWhile I have you here: what have you been playing recently, what's your current top game on Linux?
I play the free-to-play Super Bomberman R Online daily (not to be confused with Super Bomberman R - they're completely different games), and it's rock-solid-stable under Proton - and they've never kicked out Linux players for using it, either, which has been great. It's been a very short-lived game though, and it's ending on December 1st, prior to its features being rolled into the upcoming paid sequel that it was a test-run for, Super Bomberman R 2 (for which it appears the Steam version may be the lead product - or at least that's what they've been using in official promotional events).

I've also been playing Vampire Survivors, and, non-Steam-wise, plenty of emulated stuff via RetroPie, which I use on the desktop.

I do wish that the October *buntu releases got 12 months of support instead of just 9 - I'd love to be able to stick with those, as I've always found them to be perfectly stable for my requirements.

Quoting: BlackBloodRumKeep telling you, you gotta get a steam deck
It's very much on the cards. I even have an idea for a custom boot-video lined up - though that's off-topic here.

Just curious: Are you required to use their application in order to dump your cartridges? And if not, is that something that they'll be adding?

I ask because something that was great about the Retrode 2 (a similar earlier device for SNES and Mega Drive cartridges, plus others by way of adapters) was that it simply presented itself as USB mass-storage - you could just copy and paste the ROM-image and your save-files this way, with nothing required other than your OS' file-manager.

I know what you mean....... I use to know all the Dinosaucers by name too.....
Don't forget the Diplodos, either! The big-eyed art-style of this game reminds me a bit of that show.

EmuDeck 2.0 makes emulation on Steam Deck easier than ever

I don't have a Steam Deck (yet - but with my love of portables it's inevitable ), but it's great to see good emulation solutions popping up for it; Emulation has been the backbone of my gaming on PCs ever since Sony got it into the news and put the spotlight on it back in the late 1990s, so I'll definitely be looking into this once I actually have a Deck.

Looking at the second screenshot I have one question: How did I not hear of Bombergrounds before?! Oh, right, because Steam's algorithm somehow completely fails to take into account the ungodly amount of hours that I put into Bomberman games and games inspired by them. Adding that to my library right away (assuming it works with Proton), and now bookmarking SteamDB as well - thanks for the heads-up!

Quoting: elmapulit has been a long time since we heard an big brand natively supporting linux and i think we will start to see it again.
I find it quite interesting that we've seen both the recent Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge and this one arrive with day-one native Linux support. It's not what I expect from games based on big brands, but it's certainly welcome!

Quoting: StoneColdSpiderDid you try and eat a Switch cartridge to see if they tasted bad???
I can confirm that Switch cartridges do indeed taste of what I assume to be Bitrex.
