Quoting: ElamanOpiskelijaThese all were part of the Summer Sale riddles.
Yeah, I remember them, haha. I still wish that they'd actually make them.

Quoting: soulsourceUltra-short design pitch for "It's probably fine":
You play a notoriously bad driver who has been hired to do deliveries by car. What the character does not know though is that the delivery business is just a dummy company for a car repair workshop, and that the driver's real job is to cause small accidents, bringing more customers for the repair shop. Your job as the player is to guide the notoriously bad driver through the city, and you need to drive bad enough to cause actual damage (repair costs are your score), but not so bad that your character can't decept themself into thinking "it's probably fine" and continue their "important delivery" without stopping.
Once the driver starts to actually doubt that it's probably fine, your turn is over, and your score gets counted.
I'd play it!

Finally! Game thumbnails with titles that are too small to read don't make me want to click through to learn more.

Also, +1 for Custard Castle: Small Claims Court - I would play that for sure.

Mojang rolls out Player Chat Reporting into Minecraft Java

Quoting: Liam DaweHuge difference between mean text and hate speech and I think anyone with a bit of common sense can generally tell the difference. There's really no place for hate speech.
Going by Mojang's description, I presume that the update concerned is intended to address the long-running issue of extremist recruiting in video games, which has affected Minecraft for years.

This reimagining continues to sound better and better - hopefully it'll be good, since the original still holds up well today. Love the retro comic-book style promotional artwork for it, too!

Quoting: BeamboomYeah true, it should be mentioned. Thanks.
No problem - it's well worth knowing even outside of the realm of laptops, too, really.

Quoting: BeamboomGotta say though that it is my impression it seems there is an established practise/standard to keep polarity like your illustration there, with positive in centre.
Yeah, but there'll always be some company somewhere that wants to be the exception to the rule!

That's why I'm quickly starting to appreciate the USB-C power that some of my machines use - no more barrel-connector hassle, and it's easier than ever to get a compatible power-supply where necessary (which has only come up for me due to needing a spare so far, rather than due to any failures).

Quoting: BeamboomYou find the specs on the old power supply! V (voltage) and A (ampere). Every supply has this stated. Then just get the same specs (or, in the case of ampere, the same or higher).
Don't forget the polarity, too, which is also stated on the power-supply;

For example, this one means that the connector is centre-positive. Centre-negative has the symbols the other way.

The Humble Deck Builder Bundle is live, here's what works on Linux & Steam Deck

Quoting: StoneColdSpiderNope i misread it as well...... I have zero interest in the Steam Deck but that misread made peaked my interest enough to click on the story to find out more..... was disappointed to say the least.....
Glad that it wasn't just me!

I always check out Steam Deck stories since Deck compatibility generally means good things if you're using contemporaneous portable hardware with similar resolution and such (GPD Win Max 2021 running Xubuntu in my case), but this one didn't turn out to be for me, either. Still love these reports with all of the ProtonDB and Steam Deck Verified info, though - they're super-handy!

Was I the only one who misread "Deck Builder Bundle" as a bundle that one can build for the Steam Deck, as opposed to a bundle relating to the deck-builder genre?

Yars: Recharged marks a return of the 1982 Atari 2600 classic

Yars Revenge is from slightly before my time, but it's one of those titles from gaming's formative era that still holds up pretty well today, so this refresh could potentially be an interesting one.
