True. Hopefully they'll update that rating soon!

Atari acquires Intellivision brand and over 200 games

I think they kind of had to do this after the Amico scandal basically tanked and tainted the brand (excellent video on that here, and the most recent update here - I highly recommend checking out both)... Promoting loads of games they didn't have and couldn't possibly get was a terrible idea, and that's just for starters!

QuoteFirstly, Valve noted KinitoPET as now playable as of this release. Sounds weird: "A psychological horror experience that takes place through Kinito, an early 2000s virtual assistant.".
This one's in a bundle with some other well-received horror-games right now. Shame it's Steam Deck Unsupported, though.

Quoting: LachuAlso, Nadela said it's your computer.
Yet Windows dropped the term "My Computer" some time ago! They replaced it with "This Computer", which was obviously to lay the groundwork for control being taken away from users.

Quoting: LachuWindows and owned PC? By whom? By Microsoft?
I believe that's the idea, yeah. Pretty sure you already don't own your PC if you use Windows on it, though admittedly having not used it in 20 years, and only having checked things for others who needed the info at various points, I'm not up-to-date on their current terms.

Quoting: wvstolzing(which of course they won't because all the processing and storage will be 'in the cloud')
If I'm remembering right, they go out of their way to repeatedly point out that it's only stored locally (for now, knowing their track-record). I'm sure that pushing the benefits of processing and storing it on their computers will be the next step.

Quoting: finaldestTrying to explain this to my family is going to be fun. I get labelled a conspiracy theorist enough as it is.
I found that the video I linked to earlier (this one ) was quite reasonable about it. That's the one I've been showing to the few remaining Windows users I know (all of my family ditched it years ago, thankfully).

I love my Bomberman marble-shooter figures, but oh God, seeing this unlocked some very annoying memories of ending up INCREDIBLY frustrated with those old wooden marble-labyrinth things back when I was a kid, hahaha!

This looks closer to Tomy's classic Screwball Scramble, though, thankfully! Hopefully there'll be some stages like the vertical counterpart, Kongman, too!

I love how the developers decided to dedicate most of their anniversary post to kicking out Linux and Mac users, and then proclaimed "WIDNOWZ USARZ CELLEBRAYTE!!!11one". The tonal-whiplash is amazing.

I almost posted about this on the forum last night, after watching this excellent video about it by Mutahar of SomeOrdinaryGamers on YouTube, funnily enough. Very relevant coverage for a Linux site, even if it is somewhat preaching to the choir!

I ditched Windows in 2004 (temporarily went to Mac OS X whilst waiting for Linux laptop support to improve to a level that suited me, which took a few more years), after numerous things about data-collection in Windows XP came to light (which I seem to recall wasn't disclosed or at least wasn't clear enough in the EULA, if I'm remembering right), which struck me as very untrustworthy and unsettling back then and prompted an immediate move away from it. It's long surprised me that people were willing to put up with that and with the way it's been ever since, but the technology being used against people today is even more frightening than it was back then.

Quoting: SzkodnixThe Year of Linux is near. I can feel it...
It certainly feels like a perfect storm is brewing! I've suspected it would come to this since the days of Windows XP, and now here we are. It's taken too long.

Quoting: StoneColdSpiderFinally it all makes sense now...... For decades when ive heard the name "Microsoft" the empire music from star wars would play in my head...... They truly are the evil empire.......
Now, that's a description I've not heard in a long time. A long time.
