Quoting: Talon1024There's quite a few of them, and many of them are good, but the reason the game industry crashed in the 80s is because the market was oversaturated with half-baked games. With so much competition in the market, it's already very difficult for an indie developer to find a significant audience and earn enough money to live.On the other hand, that market-crash only happened in the US - where I am, game-devs just kept on game-devving completely unaffected, and I'm sure the same will happen all over again when the time comes.

Quoting: robvvThe game does look good, with an interesting concept. However, the graphics scream Unity3D at me which can be a bit hit-and-miss performance-wise on Linux. Still, will certainly check this game out!
Quoting: Liam DaweI don't really understand the comment: how does it look Unity3D...that's just a game engine? To be fair, robvv is absolutely spot-on - their community-manager confirmed that it's Unity in this Reddit post, haha! I wouldn't've figured that out myself - there are tons of games made in Unity and they all look very different to each other to me.
QuoteThank you <3 Yes, this is Unity and from what my community manager brain can process, you can easily export a native linux build :)

QuoteThanks - we appreciate it greatly! Tbh, we're only giving back to this mighty community because we had loads of players wishlisting and buying our games on linux :) From our side, all our current and future games will be playable on Steam Deck.
QuoteThank you, appreciate it! Its a very early stage of development but we should have a playable public demo around march next year (for PAX East)

Quoting: WMan22Hell yeah. I have been waiting a long time for that one. I wish they clarified if you still needed --enable-avpro-in-proton in launch options after this fix though. My experience of Proton fixes thus far has been that you no longer need the launch options after they're rolled out. All you can do is try it out, though.

Quoting: junibegoodThey make a colorful pixel-art game in which you play a magic blob, and the first adjective that comes to their mind about it is "immersive" ?To be fair, "immersive" doesn't equate to "realistic"; Though I'm not sure if this particular game would provide that for me personally (I'm not into RPGs), something fantastical and whimsical can easily be immersive and absorbing.
Drugs are bad, mmmkay ?
It looks fun, though.

*They also believe that everyone is stupid and thinks Capcom put those mods in there as an official thing, and suggest that this has harmed their reputation, hilariously.

Quoting: Doktor-MandrakeJust noticed the Capcom Arcade Stadium has added Enigma drm, which is a shame as I was interested in owning some of those gamesCapcom's gone back and added that to loads of old releases, unfortunately. They got REALLY unreasonably upset after a Street Fighter tournament-organiser accidentally broadcast a nude Chun-Li mod over the internet, and decided that all modding is the devil and is identical to cheating*, and then started adding this DRM to at least a decade's worth of games, often after having removed the much-maligned Denuvo. For at least six to eight months, Capcom wasn't even declaring the presence of the newly-added The Enigma Protector DRM, and they only rectified this recently.

Quoting: g000hThere's currently (18 July) a Card and Tabletop Game bundle on Fanatical, and noting that Luck Be A Landlord is on there. Excellent game and your opportunity to snap it up for cheap. And there's the Platformania Bundle, as well, which covers various platformers and Metroidvanias.

Not for me, but glad to see that they sorted this out and gave players what they want.
Quoting: BlackBloodRum"on Steam's proprietary console"I don't seem to recall them ever actually saying that it was, though. Anything it seems to be beyond what's on Valve's website, seems to have spawned from our own minds.
Haha, nice little dig there! Reminding us it's not as free as it may seem

As far as Steam-keys go, I do occasionally pick stuff up from Humble and Itch.io as well, but the prices are usually nowhere near what Fanatical can offer - they've obviously got quite some buying-power! I usually check Fanatical during major Steam sales as well, since quite often the prices there are even lower again than on Steam itself.

I do love it when Fanatical does this stuff; For me, they've been an absolute godsend with their bundles and (on the one occasion I made an exception ) pre-order prices as well. Very good way of catching up on some PC classics for peanuts after I ditched the console scene.
