Picked up all DLCs, the Game is fun... They keep capitalizing it... but if what they put out is fun and worth it... why not.

Vulkan translation layer DXVK 1.5.3 is out fixing up a 'potentially' critical D3D9 regression

Didn't notice any issues in Skyrim when I played it last night though. Except for the occasional crash.
Though, need to trace what makes DA:O Ultimate crash with DXVK/D3D9, that's annoying...

I love this game. Need to give it a go again. Though, I love the gameplay of the raven clan, this one sounds unique enough that I'll want to try it.
DXVK 1.5 released with D9VK merged in for D3D9 support, plus a statement on DXVK's future

Nice, especially the merge of D9VK.
I'm not worried at all that DXVK enters maintenance mode. Maybe they can make some good use of certain Vulkan extensions in future, but well, I played several (a lot of) games using DXVK which I had issues with in Wine.
Most issues I have linux gaming are most likely wine bound. Things not starting properly, hanging on closing etc.
Though, I hope for this release to be soon packaged with proton.
And I'll have to look what's up with D9VK and DragonAge: Origins which shows not very nice rendering issues in character creation. Or did in the past. And there is no bug report to be found for this (but the character selection seems to be somehow broken anyway, had it's fair share of issues in Wine too).

Thanks Alex for all the work and effort put into the ports with your team.
I'm pretty sure you'll find other challanging and interesting things to work on over at Sony. Good luck on that journey.

D3D10/11 to Vulkan translation layer DXVK 1.4.6 released

No idea why, but my proton (newest version) still shows DXVK 0.98 with DXVK_HUD=full. As you'd expect, a lot of titles don't run properly :p.
Epic Games have awarded the FOSS game manager Lutris with an Epic MegaGrant

That actually Lutris gets some funding due to that is great. I personally didn't expect it, but if the CEO is actually suggesting it it's probably almost a done thing. But hey - wouldn't be the first thing which didn't happen ;-).
Doubting Lutris has a full time dev with 1,245 on patreon, that's for sure welcome.
After other platforms for gaming on linux, Lutris really has come a long way and it's a great platform. It's just well deserved they get some funding too, and if they can use it for funding their platform or even some development - the better.
I personally was very sceptical about Lutris in the beginning, but they really worked towards making it a platform and not a game launcher as others before them.
Well deserved, and I hope they'll continue their great job on the platform. It's a great tool for gamers who don't want to fiddle too much with wine configs (as me :D).

Google reveal Stadia will only have 12 games available at launch, more later in the year

They're in for the long run. Will take them years until the library is "big enough" to make it even viable. They're throwing their weight at the gaming market, and they've cash enough to sustain that, especially controlling the android ecosystem.
We'll be able to judge if Stadia was a success or not in ~5 years or so.

Proton GE has another new release out with patches for GTA V and lots of updates

I'll use GE for now. I've issues that the dxvk and d9vk are pretty damn old in Proton (at least judging what it tells with DXVK_HUD=full, the versions are ancient in 4.11-7, especially for d9vk compared to the development speed there).
It even shows dxvk 0.99 for me for some reason in 4.11-7, which should not be the case.
