EVERSPACE seems to be having more issues with Unreal Engine again with Linux support

Yea, seems to happen with Kingdom Come: Deliverance as well. First they wanted to support linux, but I guess they saw issues and backed away.

Quoting: natis1.... Devs screw up choosing Unreal 4. Almost every game ported from that engine to Linux has problems and bugs and stuff doesn't work right and usually it ends in delays/the Linux version being canceled outright.

I'll go with Tomb Raider here ..
I'd love it to be Middle Earth - Shadow of War, but doubt it.

I have that one on my wishlist ever since they said they will do a linux version, so before they revoked that.
I really hope they will do a port and I can buy the game.

Cossacks 3 finally in open beta for all Linux users

Well, refunding is probably what I'll go for now too. Though, it's still beta, we don't know how it will be in future. Smaller glitches - okay, but not starting is a different topic. Maybe it's Mesa connected though, but if they go for OpenGL > 3.2 - that requirement should be met.

Quoting: ZaxthThis didn't work very well for me. I'm using Arch x64. nVidia blob. 980Ti.
The game had no sound, resolution settings didn't work. Tutorial could not be selected ingame, the selectable campaigns loaded and showed a screen with some nondescript terrain ie there were no rocks, cliff formations or anything of the like, it was completely flat, and nothing was going on. There was no sound and then the game locked up and crashed.
I refunded. I'll check it out later if theres favorable comments from Linux users.
Serious Sam Bogus Detour works great however :D

Croteam is not exactly strict about their IP. Could be that they just thought it fun and gave permission for the small indie game. It's not as if anyone is going to get rich about this game anyway.

Quoting: UltraAltesBrotQuoting: g000hAny idea how much Croteam gain from sales of the game? Seeing as Crackshell are the primary developers on it.I have no numbers, but it must be sufficient to justify licensing their intellectual property, so.. whatever. Now stop talking, buy the game and have fun with it already!

[edit] crashing
Using Solus, tried it with native runtime and steam runtime, in 64bit and 32bit mode.
Not sure what causes this for me yet.... probably the AMDGPU driver or my "different" system libs compared to ubuntu/debian based systems. ldd shows that it finds all necessary libraries on my system though.

While I'm not thrilled with the results having a RX460, I am still able to play most games very reasonable on lower settings.
I still own a nvidia 1080, but I decided to stay with amdgpu anyway. Just because I can be happy each mesa release that something works now which didn't work before :D.
