Quoting: redneckdrowAn always online DRM that apparently kicks people from single-player for being away from their keyboard. Yikes!

Quoting: whizseOr possibly going back even further.

Richard Burns Rally (twenty years old now) have ongoing fan made online events and lots of new stages (there's even a stage editor based on Blender!) thanks to modders.
RBR is great...... And its awesome to see the online side of it still going strong......

For more singleplayer focused gamers theres also the original Colin McRae Rally series...... Which is a bit more accessible than RBR while still being really good fun.....

Point being there are still plenty of options out there and its easy to say "No" to a company thats screwing you over and play something else......

I believe you have also played Rally Trophy in the past too......

Quoting: pleasereadthemanualI mostly play multiplayer games, and it's sad to see ever fewer are possible to play through Proton due to anti-cheat.
I can see this being a really big problem for some gamers.....

Thankfully im not affected that much at all....... I only play single player games....... So my options are way more open...... And that includes the wonderful world of emulation......

Ive almost completely dipped out on modern gaming...... The "Games as a service" trend is VERY anti consumer and I really want no part of it......

Im glad there are many non "games as a service" indies as well as older games ive never played that I can sink my teeth into......

As for multiplayer gamers such as yourself this really sucks....... I hope the tide turns for you guys soon.......

I do fear it will take a world wide video game crash for that to happen........ Hope im wrong though and it turns sooner than that for you........

EA actually has adverts in their games way back in the early 2000's.......
most notably in the EA Sports games where they had a menu option called "EA SPORTS EXTRA" or "Inside EA SPORTS" and when you selected it would play a video advertising upcoming EA Sports games...... This is the video found in 2002 games......

It looks it, and I'm really glad that they put some official photographs online!

I really wanted to do my own photos for this piece, but Amazon UK didn't have enough copies to cover their pre-orders, so I won't get mine for at least a few weeks.
I expect you to make a Fugu dish when your copy arrives.......

Quoting: mallogFor a Linux site, I'm surprised no-one has mentioned this. The adverts will probably be delivered through a specific domain, which can be blocked in your firewall.
Knowing EA, they'll probably have locally-stored ads ready to go for offline use, too, hahaha!
