Quoting: m2mg2I'm hoping this isn't the shot away from the Feral Radar, but it seems likely as Feral have ported the other Warhammer 40,000 games. I'm hoping for another non RTS game from Feral.
As I wrote pretty clearly, this is not from Feral.

Did you? I'm sorry, I didn't see that. I've read it at least three times and don't see it. Must be going blind, or dumb.

Quotehas just been announced by Bulwark Studios and Kasedo Games, it's due this year with Linux support.

Is it not clear enough?

I saw the announcement info, I just didn't read it as though they stated it would be an in house port. My bad.

I didn't infer it either so don't feel bad. I don't think assuming that readers will know those company names and know that it means that Feral is not porting the game is "pretty clear"... But I ain't real bright either, so there's that..

Dungeons 2 is currently free on GOG and their sale is still going on

Quoting: adamhm[users-only]Here's a key for The Witcher Enhanced Edition for whoever's fastest:

echo VGhlIFdpdGNoZXI6IGh0dHBzOi8vd3d3LmdvZy5jb20vcmVkZWVtL0NBTlg4Q1FVOFhUU0xXTkIK | base64 -d

It's been sitting out in the open on GOG's forums for ages but I guess everyone there has it by now.[/users-only]

Got it... Thanks!

Quoting: inlinuxdudeSo, is there animal agriculture in this or no? The title would seem to indicate so, but I don't see anything in this review, or on the steam store indicating so. I'd love to play it if it is just tractors and fields.. :D
From what I understand yes, however I have yet to experience that part of it. It's a slooooow game

Thanks Liam.. I asked on the game page on the steam community..

Quoting: WorMzyI think you missed the part where it's a game. ;)

Unless it was developed with funding from agricultural lobbyist groups, and explicitly encourages young audiences to become factory farmers, I think we can safely assume it isn't designed to be pro-cruel farming propoganda. As such, please take your crusade elsewhere.

Meh, I hear ya.. The animal industry probably isn't directly funding it, but they have funded (either directly or indirectly) a lot of other things brainwashing people into thinking the happy happy farm in this game is the way it is.. I'm actively involved in trying to change those perceptions in real life, so when seeing animated games promoting that vision, it gets to me.

The same rebelliousness that got me on the train to try to change the world with Linux 20 years ago drives me to try to open the worlds eyes regarding animal ag now..

I'm not gonna say any more though, and will "take it elsewhere"

Quoting: belisamaI especially love the part where the cute little escapist fantasy farming game is too unrealistic, but zombie rampages are totally fine. :P

Zombie rampages aren't real, and aren't destroying our world... (yet)

Quoting: belisamaVery excited about this. No violence, no brain hurting puzzles, no dating simulation, just pretty, peaceful farming.

I'd like to dispute the "no violence" statement when "taking care of animals" is involved..

Animal agriculture inherently involvs violence. Even though it may not be depicted in this game, it still promotes animal agriculture which in real life has that violence. In Dairy, calves are ripped from their mothers shortly after birth. Most of the males will shortly be sent to be killed for veal. The females are condemned to a short life of pain and suffering, and having their babies ripped away (so we can have their milk). In the poultry industry, baby males are frequently ground up alive in a macerator.. That is all just the start.. #DairyisScary #Earthlings #Dominion #landofhopeandglory

If this game had only plant agriculture I'd be all for it, but I won't contribute to further brainwashing of the youth by the inclusion of our taking advantage of other animal species when it is not only unnecessary, but harmful to us (both health-wise and environmentally).

Also, this is a poor simulation of animal agriculture today in any case, as almost all farmed animals come from CAFO's... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intensive_animal_farming
