I already own both of them on GOG. Hopefully it doesn't take too long for the Linux version to show up there...

Civilization VI announced, will support Linux & SteamOS

Quoting: KimyrielleYou can argue for sure that the game glorifies both capitalism and imperialism with some of its designs. And yes, to make your civilization able to prosper you need to expand. But tbh, size DOES matter in real life international relations. The US is powerful, Switzerland isn't. For the simple reason that one country is large and the other isn't. Power in real life has nothing to do with how "great" a nation is. It's just a function of size. Translating this simple truth into a game where you compete against other nations to become the most powerful one, it makes sense that expansion is needed, no? They sure could relax the ultimate goal to be the "best" nation, but what would the new victory conditions be, then? What would be the goal in Civ for a nation like Switzerland?

Size = power isn't really true. Canada is the second largest country in the world, but we certainly aren't the second most powerful. I'd say it's more of a combination of size, population and perceived economic & military clout that defines power.

The goal of a nation like Switzerland would be to survive and prosper despite their geographical limitations.

About an hours drive west of Edmonton just a short ways south of the Yellowhead.

My rapidly filling UFA farm receipt calendar.

I'm two hours east of Edmonton, also just a short ways South of 16 (6 miles south).

I'm heading to UFA today!

Quoting: HamishEverybody's got posh desks. :P

Real men have spent 12-gauge shell casings, bowie knifes, and fencing nails on their desks:

Real messy men. Or farmers. Take your pick.

UFA?!? - we must practically be neighbors! Well, at least in the same province.

I don't have a desk. My "setup" is wherever I plunk my laptop. Often its on the island in our kitchen. Or my lap on the couch. Or the table, Or, well, you get the idea...

Kona, a good looking first person adventure game now in Early Access, some thoughts

I bought it on GOG recently. I don't generally care for Early Access (or In Development, as GOG calls it), but as a Canadian I couldn't not support a Canadian developer making a game set in Canada that supports Linux.

Life Is Strange looks like it will come to SteamOS & Linux

Cool! I won episode 1 on steamgifts, but I haven't played it yet. I guess I'll hold off playing it until we see if it actually comes to Linux. If so, I'll gladly pick up the rest.

Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition expansion Siege of Dragonspear same day release for Linux
4 March 2016 at 10:17 pm UTC

I'll wait for it on GOG.

Quoting: FeistWhoa, that´s quite a relief. The BG games are among my all-time favorites and I am really eager to see if this special "in-between-game", can live up to the old titles. I´ll pre-purchase as soon as the listing goes up on steam! ^_^

Overhaul / Beamdog have been a bit hit and miss in my opinion. I like some of what they've done, and don't like other stuff.

I'll still pick this up, because, well, Baldur's Gate, but I'm not holding my breath that it's going to be remotely as good as the original content.

What game would you most like to see on Linux this year?

Deus Ex's
Fallout's
Skyrim
MX vs. ATV of some sort. C'mon Nordic!

We Are Legion, indie strategy game with hundreds or even millions of units now on Linux

Quoting: GuestCool, too bad it’s multiplayer-only.

That's the nail in the coffin for me. Otherwise, I'd probably check it out.
