Would it be better to say Desktop Shell instead of Desktop Environment or Window Manager? Does it communicate better what it is?

Dude I love this idea of a art competition. We should do more.
This steam sale is wiping me out I think I bought 20 games already :( Must fight impulses XD.
(My strategy is to collect enough Linux games for Big Picture that I'll wipe out my Temporary Windows Rig. I only wish they had a Tony Hawk or Skate game on SteamOS already to quench my sports genre draw.)
Edit:
So I spent a couple hours envisioning and here's my entry. It's 4k

I removed SFV from my list lady night. Shaved down from 130 to 80 games, deleted all but 4 windows games, ibe been patient enough now it's time to forget with my wallet those who forget to support Steam Machines.
I'll let others play SF and be the meat shield first so I can learn if it's a good game or sucks.

Quoting: Mountain ManQuoting: GuestAs I mentioned before, I don't mind this, in fact I think it's something SteamOS is quite useful for.I don't mind it, either, since a static platform is easier to develop for, and if it will work on SteamOS then it will work on any distro (at least in theory), but the way they say it almost makes it sound like SteamOS isn't Linux, when it actually is.

It looks like a blast. It's nice to see more full controller support games and local co-op too.

I've done this aswell, I have A, B, C, D and Z and I personally rate my games so I play the cream of the crop. The problem is for some reason Steam has deleted my categories probably 3 or 4 times.
More recently I've start to tag according to 1 Player, 2 Player, 3 Player and 4 Player because I like to do 3 Player Local Multiplayer with friends in my living room.
Thank you kind sir, I think I got it in a Humble Bundle, and I played through it extremely sleep deprived all the way until 7:00 AM, some people are more sensitive but this game made me feel a special kind of creepy, and I probably had nightmares too afterwards so going back after all the hype I would have just been like nope.
This game actually did come off as a nightmare in and of itself. I guess maybe people with self destructive personality disorder might actively search for things that are bad for them. I'm glad you enjoyed it, I respect others right to opinions as equally as I value my right to spew my personal ramblings off into the almighty Ether.

Quoting: HoriFor me, categories work just fine... I have an "All", "Windows-only", <insert-genre-category-here>, "Junk", "Unplayed", etc... I just put the games I don't need in the Junk category and remove them from all the other

It's easy actually since half a year or so. In the Steam client menu (no need for the website support) go to
>Help >Steam support
There select "Games, software, etc." Then type in the name of the game in the search box below. Select the game listed under "PRODUCTS". Then select "I want to permanently remove this game from my account". DONE!
Generally you will be noticed if the game was part of a bundled key/purchase, because it will delete all other bundled games with that *specific* purchase. (Example: Bought Valve Complete, want to delete Portal (why?), that will delete Valve Complete Pack entirely.) But you will have to tick a checkbox and you will be warned about this.

There should be a "slit your wrists" tag on steam as some media makes you loose faith in humanity.

A third of Valve now working on VR, still no Linux support

The Matrix? Well shit I'm out.
If you hadn't already dropped the cash I would have recommended doing a VGA passthrough on an exclusive GPU and using Windows As A Service aka Redhat Virtual Machine manager style.
Throw in a dedicated SSD and a second monitor and you can have all the VR you want on Linux in the now.
I think it's a bit fair that a developer get and use windows for work reasons, the love of Linux will draw you back. Hopefully by then Valve will have released their Linux drivers.
I tried using a Windows Gaming Slave and I have to say for some reason it disappointed me greatly, maybe all the games I used to play just are boring now and not relevant to me.
