It's taken much longer than I would have thought, but one of their guys is Haxe developer Nicolas Cannasse, so I haven't lost hope.

Thanks for the great review. Looks right up my alley. Did you play last year's Snakebird?

Maybe it would encourage more developers to release Linux version of their games on Itch.io too. There are tons of great Linux games there already, but it feels like there's a better balance between Mac and Linux games on Steam and GOG than there is on Itch.io.

In this case, it's a limitation of the engine. Sometimes it's because it's less time intensive to produce for a small team, and sometimes it's an artistic choice.

Feral ported Castle of Illusion. It's gotta be this:
I haven't played it in a couple of decades, but maybe there was a snow level and it was called Drifting Snow.
Great game, and it even had two player co-op.

Works without issues for me. The game is very similar to TIS-100, but much easier so far, and with the trademark Tomorrow Corp. storytelling. I'm enjoying it a lot.

It's actually possibly to buy the game DRM free directly from Application Systems Heidelberg at the same 15% release discount they offer on Steam. I had missed that, but I'll update the article to include that.

They tried to get the game on GOG, but it wasn't accepted. I hope they explore other options though, like itch.io or Humble. Backers just got DRM free versions of the final build though, and will get access to future updates.

Quoting: ShmerlSounds like a good game, buy why is it Steam only? I'll contact developers about it.
