J.U.L.I.A.: Among The Stars Sci-fi Adventure Released On Linux, Plus Some Thoughts
5 October 2014 at 9:30 am UTC

Quoting: KelsOn wishlist now.

I like a science fiction setting too, although I can't get that deep into games where it's all spaceships and no characters. I'd rather get something more immediate like this or say, The Fall or Primordia.

The Fall and Primordia are both very good. The former is already available for Linux and the latter has a Linux build in testing.

Dreamfall Chapters Adventure Game Release Date Announced In New Video

I really wish I could have gotten through it because I quite liked the story and atmosphere. The awkward combat and stealth elements ruined it for me though and I ended up rage quitting after being attacked by some kind of troll.

Dreamfall Chapters Adventure Game Release Date Announced In New Video

Quoting: rick01457I seem to be the only person in the world who didn't like Dreamfall: The longest Journey so I'm dubious as to whether I'll like this one too. I'll probably get it though, because I'm a chump

No, a lot of people didn't like the sequel; me included. The first one is the one that's generally regarded as a classic.

Also, Liam, it's worth pointing out that it's only the first episode of the game that will release the 21st. Release dates for the rest of the episodes are yet to be announced.

I hadn't heard about this one before, but that looks very promising. I had a ton of fun with the original back in the day and was very disappointed by the direction of the new "Syndicate" game.

Someone probably installed it on his computer as a prank while he turned away to adjust his sunglasses.

Thanks for the link! :) If I get it to work I'll ditch Windows from that computer too. :)

Quoting: liamdaweIf you are getting logged out after a few hours then something's not quite right, do you change any browser settings? If you do anything like user agent switching that will break it most likely.

I do occasionally change the user agent, but this issue happens independently of that and on both my work and home computers and my phone. And I don't have any such issues on other websites I frequent.

I have a Windows partition on one of my computers too. I've hardly used it the last couple of years, but it's there until I find a driver for my Epson Stylus Photo PX700W that can handle printing from the photo paper tray. :-/
