Don't know why they are still offering a beta though... It's not been updated for months now... Looks like a final release to me.

Quoting: Glog78Sidenote: I checked TW2 latest beta with a gtx 970 + a 6 core phenom 1090T -> constant 60 fps forget it ... still droping below (even with ubersampleing disabled).

Quoting: Segata SanshiroQuoteNotice: we didn't "leak the story" unlike some people seem to think. All of the information available to us regarding the BioShock Infinite port was public. We can thank SteamDB and Reddit for that.I find it kind of hilarious that there's accusations of leaks. Although I do love GOL and think it's great, we hardly have the reach and ability to infiltrate games companies and extract information from anonymous sources... We just have to rely on publicly available information, which is hardly "leaking".

Let's be "the devil's advocate" and think VP for 2 secs...
"We got lynched because we forgot to mention that the Linux version of The Witcher 2 was, in fact, a beta...
If they happen to discover, before the official release, that we are doing the port, what will be the Linux community reaction? Will they buy the game still?
Maybe it's not the most transparent way of doing things, but could it be a better solution to surprise them with a good quality port and have a chance of making them forget about "The Witcher 2" episode?"
With all the hate messages they received in regard with W2, I'd understand why they are shy about confirming anything.
For my part, The Witcher 2 is my best of all Linux game running pretty well at Ultra settings with the latest nvidia proprietary drivers. eON wrapper won't stop me from buying Bioshock.

Quoting: liamdaweI also dislike it when people decide to hide details like who is developing it. Fair enough that it wasn't meant to be known this early, but why continue to hide it? That to me shows a lack of confidence. I always say to developers and publishers they need to be more open, and to a technically minded audience like Linux gamers it matters even more so.
Personally, I wish 2K went with Aspyr who did the Mac version.

Feral's Game Port Radar Updated For Linux

Everything from the SteamDB to the song and picture (Soldier's field amusement park) seems to designate Bioshock Infinite and it is probably "the game you already like".
Thanks to Compholio for the song and GBee for the Soldier's field researches.
If not... Empire: Total War. This is the other Feral port in the linux SteamDB and it would match the Emperor penguin picture. But I don't think so, unless the radar signal is for both games... Which I doubt.
Rofl! Hilarious! I'm too visual and I get some funny images when I think of that possibility.

BioShock Infinite Looks Set For A Linux Release (CONFIRMED)
5 December 2014 at 7:40 pm UTC
If it's not for Bioshock Infinite, based on the SteamDB, it's probably Empire: Total War. A radar entry for both?
5 December 2014 at 7:40 pm UTC
Quoting: GBeeThe linux/mac icons on the feral radar weren't there yesterday ...
They had said they would be adding linux games to the radar. In fact they did it once previously but then removed them because it wasn't clear which games were for which platform.
"Everybody wants to rule the world" is a brand new addition. I immediately think of XCom, but they've already released that so it must be something else? The picture, when blown up appears to show ranks of soldiers armed with rifles or pikes, so based on the games Feral have previously ported I'd say it has to be one of the Total War series - Napoleon maybe? The artwork style seems to be a good match - https://www.feralinteractive.com/en/mac-games/napoleontw/media/

The Feral radar has now Linux and Mac icons in the small puzzle pictures... Is it just me that missed that?
"Everybody wants to rule the world" has a little Tux icon in the bottom corner.

Nice! Since they spécified Metro Redux for Linux would be OpenGL-4... I look forward to playing this game!
"Oles Shishkovstov: Yes, the original Metro Last Light Linux port was based on OpenGL 3.2 - it was stable but did not support high-end features. For Redux we are essentially replicating the DX11 version, with almost one-to-one correspondence in features. The downside of that approach - the GPU should be at least OpenGL 4 'core profile'."
