Oh! Sorry! Completely forgot about DragonQuest. Should have though... I beat the hell out of it, on my original NES! Played it again on my Steam Deck, not long ago. Lol!

Yeah every time a AAA company says something like "quality over quantity", what I hear is "we are spending even more on a handful of big franchises in the most popular genres instead of doing anything new or creative or investing in more diverse games".
The thing is, aside from FF, I don't know what blockbusters Square Enix has left... Eidos was behind the Deus Ex and Tomb Raider franchises and it was sold, along with the ips...
dragon quest sell a lot in japan, to the point that i wouldnt be surprised if it sell more on japan alone than final fantasy worldwide.
the day an dragon quest is relased its holiday because no one will work that day.
nier was an niche game, until nier automata made it popular and now even old nier games sell.
monster hunter is another big hit...
im not sure about the rest but im quite miss informed about gaming in general.

Square Enix had some great titles available when the Steam Machines first launched. They made some decisions that I personally don't understand (Eidos), in the last few years, and many recent games just under-delivered, but I hope to see them come back to that "2015 era shape" again, with this kind of news.
EA want to put adverts in your video games to squeeze you for every penny

With a Nintendo Switch 2 on the way, I hope Valve make a Steam Deck 2

Aside from what has already been mentionned, what I would like the most is an external gpu docking station for 4k couch gaming (oculink maybe?) that brings it to current gen console, performance wise.
That would make it the perfect console replacement, imo.

Is it true for Linux hosts?
Got lots of stuttering issues with Remote Play, since I switched to AMD.

Just installed it...
It would be nice if Nvidia could include the same experience, UI wise, than what I get on my Nvidia Shield (Android TV app). Much more controller friendly...

About that... It's kind of a hit & miss. Nvidia got problems when you sync out of GeForce Now... I often fight with my cloud saves, when I switch from my Nvidia Shield to my Steam Deck. It feels like the GeForce Now service is shutting down too fast, on some occasions. Sad.

Quoting: ticktokQuoting: LinasSo if I want to stream a Steam game, would it cloud sync with Steam?
Yea when you launch a steam game it basically just spins up a virtual machine, launches steam and you have to log in to steam and then it's just like playing a steam game on someone else's computer.

I wonder if they could create an intel+nvidia custom chip board? Price would surely be through the roof, though.
This said, Nvidia displayed an arm based with RTX gaming laptop, couple of years ago. It was running an arch based os, if I remember correctly.

Quoting: CatKillerQuoting: MohandevirNvidia based Steam Deck 2? 🤔Nvidia don't have an x86 licence, so they can't make a chip that's GPU and x86 CPU in one like Intel & AMD can. The handheld Nvidia can do would be ARM - and the Nintendo Switch is exactly an Nvidia/ARM handheld.
