It will be nice when they get that Linux client released, haven't had any luck with running it in WINE. And that whole cross-play with Steam thing is kind of interesting.

Great game, runs really smooth for me. I also find it great that the game has good controller support (I wasn't sure how that would be, since this one wasn't a native port and all)

QuoteI only play games to enjoy them, not to die constantly and get frustrated
So your not hoping for a *Souls game to appear on Linux then :D

Steam Hardware Survey For March 2015
13 April 2015 at 3:17 am UTC

Quoting: KurremkarmerrukUsing linux as my main gaming platform again for a couple months now with no survey and then the other day, I decided to give a few games a go through steam on Wine and literally the first time I opened Steam on Wine, I get the survey! What are the chances!

It got me thinking, I noticed there were some references to Wine in the results they were collecting. They should have a separate OS listing for Wine. It'd be interesting to see how many Windows results are actually OSX or Linux users running Steam through Wine.

The same thing happens to me all the time. I would love to see how many of the "Windows" users are actually using WINE.

Quoting: GenericUserWait a minute,I suddenly remembered that the last time I used Manjaro it did not detect my AMD card properly.First thing you should do is check if you are using the AMD driver by installing mesa-demos "sudo pacman -S mesa-demos" and put "glxinfo | grep OpenGL" without the quotation marks in your Terminal and report back the output.

Yeah, I dont think it is...

Fixed that part, re-installed the system (though I lost my Mint GRUB entry, had to manually re add it)
Now to test a few games!

EDIT: Well, I change to the catalyst driver to check performance as I still couldn't launch Dying Light (sorry ;) ) I can play! It runs fairly playable out side with out crashes every 2 minutes :D !
I find it amazing how two differant distros can run a game very differantly on the same hardware.
(I did however find that the open source drivers can play a variety of games very well (BL2 at max settings) )

Quoting: GenericUserRemember Antegros uses the pacman packaging system so if you want steam just type "sudo pacman -S steam" in the terminal. And remember to update me if the open source driver also doesn't work out for you.

Sorry for the delay, having troubles getting Antegros to install, need an internet connection for the installer and ndis wouldn't build right. I installed Manjaro, going to test the open source drivers out tonight or tomorrow.

Feral Interactive Are Behind The Batman: Arkham Knight, GRID Autosport And Company Of Heroes 2 Linux Ports

Wow, they're busy, four ports right now? That is great! So far both of their ports were pretty much flawless. Can't wait for Mordor and maybe try out a Batman game, heard a lot about them being good, so this would be a great time to try one out!

Quoting: GenericUserWeird.I'd suggest you to install Antegros to check if the open source drivers are working for this game as the ones included in Mint are based on Ubuntu 14.10 which are quite outdated.

Thanks for the suggestion, downloading Antegros right now. Might be a while on my connection. Glad I left a blank partition on my HD in case I wanted another os. I love it when things work out :D
