You might want to avoid the Nvidia 375.20 driver, Nvidia recommend downgrading

Yeah, seems to not effect everyone. I am on a GTX970m (Maxwell) and the 375.20 driver seems to work just fine.

Earth Liberation, a surprisingly good looking traditional RTS should come to Linux

Really hard to get the RTS formula right for indie devs it seems, but this one seems to look at least somewhat promising. Lets wait and see.

The Linux & SteamOS port of Killing Floor 2 has been put on hold, it needs a developer

This was clear when they announced that KF2 would be using a highly customized version of the UE3 engine AFAIK. A very similar thing happened with their previous game RO2.

I think they went by the fact that UE3 had some working linux-ports, but those were never part of the official UE3 code base and Icculus at some point already mentioned that for customized UE2 & UE3 this meant basically a new port each time if I recall correctly.

Luckily with UE4 things have gotten slightly better and I think a somewhat working Linux port is not officially part of UE4, so even customized versions can start with something if they didn't go out of their way to brake compatibility.

If you have not yet gotten Crypt of the Necrodancer... DO IT NOW! Extremely fun and innovative game even if you are not into rhythm games.

Aspyr Media shut down their GameAgent store, focusing more on developing and publishing directly

Depends on your volume of sales, but putting your eggs into someone else's basket is not always the best idea...

What would be cool was a federated game store app, i.e. take a open source client like the one from itch.io but allow to add multiple stores to it seamlessly. This way smaller publishers could sort of band together to avoid getting trapped in steam or such.

And we probably already had a GOG Linux client by now :(

Looks like mech combat game 'Dark Horizons: Mechanized Corps' is coming to Linux

Quoting: LukeNukemMan I remember this (first version) from early 2000, I think it was "Dark Horizons: Lore". I wonder if they still use the Torque Game Engine or it's updated version.

Hmm, sounds to me like they switched to the new open source version with has a linux port? See: http://torque3d.org/

My take on the Steamcontroller thing is that when it is well supported (either by the developer directly, such as the case for example "Neuro Voider" or by an awesome community config), than it beats all other controllers easily and sometimes even a mouse+keyboard combo. However many games are not well supported, and unless I want to spend a lot of time creating my own config (which I honestly didn't bother so far), I end up switching back to either my Xbox360 controller or the mouse+keyboard combo.

So overall I can see why people voted it as their favorite controller, but if you are on the edge and don't want to buy two controllers, nor are especially interested is playing games originally not meant for controller input at all, then I would rather go for a cheaper USB cable Xbox360 controller which works great under Linux.

Pixel Dungeon is also open-source (and available on the F-Droid FOSS repository for Android). It even has spawned some interesting forks and ports. Here some github links:

The 'SMACH Z' gaming handheld is back on Kickstarter, no longer using SteamOS but their own Linux version

Some of the mentioned specs also seems to be only strech-goals, which seems a bit sketchy.
Still overall a nice machine by the looks of it.

Any idea on the price? It sounds very interesting, but I doubt I could justify paying more than 10€ or so for it.
