Clone Hero is a Guitar Hero clone built with Unity that has a Linux version, it's free too

Quoting: scaineThat video was utter, utter nonsense. There's no way anyone can play this at that kind of speed and nail 100% solos like that. Or if you could, you should be full of regret for a wasted life... :)

Never heard of Acai, then.

He has a tendency to FC on Expert on a lot of songs... first attempt:

Quoting: ToriVery happy to see this! I have good memories of playing GH3 on Windows using the official guitar, I hope i can recreate the feeling with a keyboard and linux :)

You can use either PC or console guitar gamepads with this game, as well. Just remember to go to game options and make sure things are the way you like. I turned off no-fail, myself.

EDIT: @liamdawe: If you want to use either the Steam Controller or other standard pads, make sure to enable "controller mode."

We Happy Few has a brand new trailer out

Quoting: 14I felt the BioShock vibe while watching the trailer, too. And, no, I didn't read your comment about BioShock until after I watched the trailer. I think I want this game. I saw the word "adventure" and I almost surfed away. The theme made me watch the trailer. And now it looks pretty interesting -- kinda dark but hopefully not sick, tiny comic humor, action, modern premise.

The game takes place in an alternate 1960's.

The Steam Linux market share for June was 0.52% as Steam is still growing rather rapidly

Wouldn't that mean roughly 19,500 new Steam users on Linux per month? That's no small number.

Looks like you can now run Linux on the Nintendo Switch

Quoting: elmapulits a shame we dont have any arm games to run on it.
at least not on steam... (and the steam client itself dont work on arm)

Well, technically you could, using LLVM. The only issue is that it likely would not be performant enough to matter.

you need the source code to recompile then to arm

I'm talking about skipping compiling games and applications to ARM and using an in-between program that would run X86 programs through a virtual CPU using LLVM.

Though, as I said, it would not be performant enough to matter, anyway. I was being pedantic.

The Steam Link Android app is now out, works quite well so far

Steam Beta client just updated with support for Steam Link App input support!

A new Steam Client Beta adds Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) support to the Steam Controller

Anybody else having an issue where Steam freezes at the login screen after a few seconds? This happened after I updated Steam beta, updated the Steam Controller firmware, and logged out.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is now officially available on Linux, here’s a look at it with benchmarks

Quoting: JanPerformance is pretty good, but it’s the most unstable Feral game I’ve ever played on Linux or Mac. In Ubuntu 17.10 with the recommended NVIDIA beta drivers it freezes constantly, especially in the Soviet facility. One of the optional tombs is impossible to complete due to freezing/lock-up of the whole screen. I’m on a fresh install, Skylake Core i7, 32GB RAM and a GTX 1080.

Turn off the Steam overlay and/or make sure to launch in desktop mode and not Big Picture.

Ouch, my poor eyes. X_x

Who thought that posterizing a stamp-sized rendering of a lo-fi 3D game was a good idea? This looks awful!
