Ehhh, not sure why devs keep making these kind of deals, if they were lacking funds I can understand that but on the other side of the coin, there are alternative ways of obtaining funds such as kickstarter.
I'm sure they've had their reasons but looking at the bigger picture here they're leaving 3 platforms dry which could mean some good profit, especially from the PS4 side.

Thanks, quite impressive for an old spec system running D: OS. I have to say such great performance makes up for the game's delay big time.

Quoting: DrMcCoyQuoting: Avehicle7887what GPU are you running?
It's a GeForce GT 630, i.e. one of the smaller, budget-level nvidia cards. I used to have a GeForce 8600 GTS , but it died on me. Raw performance-wise, as "measured" by the FPS counter in glxgears, or vertex through-put in other benchmarks, those two cards are about the same, interestingly. Of course, the GT 630 has support for newer OpenGL features, and way more memory than the 8600 GTS.

20-25fps on such an old CPU is not bad at all, what GPU are you running? I'm asking because I've been thinking about building a budget friendly system and would be great to have this game running on it too.

Quoting: DrMcCoyIgnoring all this bickering here...
I'm back at my place, back at my (granted, also older) desktop, and I can play Divinity: Original Sin now. And I'm surprised: it does work.
Sure, my FPS isn't high (about 20-25), but that's my own system's fault, after all. Most of the graphic options don't change anything for me framerate-wise, so I'm certain it's at least partially CPU bound. I have an Athlon 64 X2 6000+, a dual core AMD cpu from 2006 (running at 3GHz, for what little that information is worth), so that's about what I expected.

I know Skyrim can run much better on a 760 with CSMT on (as I run it that way on a 760 myself), I wonder what would the results be with RadeonSI + CSMT.

Quoting: XaeroVincentI wonder how 1.7.55 Nine with RadeonSI would compare to 1.8 Staging w/ CSMT enabled and Catalyst 15.12 and Nvidia 355.11.

Glad you're enjoying the game, I finished it last week and it's been a great experience. Has a few rough edges but it's nothing bad overall.
If you want a small performance boost in game, you can go to the settings folder and change this line at the bottom: <Simple name="MaxTexureMemory" value="128000000" />
It improved the performance quite a bit for me and also reduces the frequency of crashes/freezes (the game has a memory leak).

Quoting: hagabakaI bought it recently and have been really enjoying it. The visible and wandering enemy system really makes exploration both exciting and not too stressful. And the art and music are very beautiful.
I bought the GOG version first and had to do some tweaks before it ran on my 64-bit Arch Linux. Then I noticed it was on discount at Steam and has Workshop support so I bought it there too. The Steam version worked out of the box and also reused my old saves.

It doesn't exactly work like that, I digged up some Steam thread about this, here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/373420/discussions/0/490124466456579487/#c490124466459796011
EDIT: In Short, if one of your 2 characters has Lone Wolf Trait, then you can't have the 3rd and 4th companion later in the game (aka you're stuck with the 2 main characters you create).

Quoting: neowiz73there seems to be a bug with the traits as well, for kicks I recreated a character with the Lone Wolf trait and supposedly it should remove your companion at that point but It in fact does not. So apparently you can have a protagonist even with one character having the Lone Wolf trait. So if you want 1 really OP character that would be the way to go, haha.

Yeah I agree on the performance part, the game has a memory leak somewhere and being 32bit makes it crash after a certain time, why have they not fixed it with their last patch is beyond me. As for the game itself, it's a matter opinion, yesterday I finished it (with a 73hrs long savegame) and I have to say I quite enjoyed most of it.

Quoting: KeyrockQuoting: Avehicle7887Thanks for that. Workaround or no workaround, there's no excuse for a game, any game, to drop into single digit FPS on a Titan X ever, much less a game with fairly rudimentary graphics. With that said, I found the game to be dull as dishwater, so I have no intention of revisiting it ever, even if performance becomes great.Quoting: Keyrock(except Lords of Xulima, which might be the single worst optimized game I've ever played)
There's a tweak to improve performance in that game on Linux, go to its' settings file and change this line: <Simple name="MaxTexureMemory" value="128000000" />
Performance increases quite a bit, sometimes will still tank but it's much more playable. For the record I've also disabled desktop composition and the ingame V-Sync.
