OpenMW Releases 0.34, 1.0 Looks Closer Every Day
24 December 2014 at 8:56 pm UTC

Big thanks to the OpenMW team, Morrowind is my fav TES game and playing this natively on Linux is a dream come true. Looks like I'll have to take out my dusty (err dustless*) GOTY discs very soon :-)

The Original Strife: Veteran Edition, The Original FPS & RPG Hybrid On Steam For Linux, We Have Keys
13 December 2014 at 6:43 pm UTC Likes: 1

I used to call Strife the "1996 Deus Ex" not exactly sure why, maybe because of the FPS-RPG game it is. Brings good memories from my childhood (which it seems I'll get to re live them again). I didn't fully understand the game then, I was still a bit young. It's payback time ;)

I love GoL, it's the only Linux gaming site I check like 13 times a day, no other site has this much information about Linux games, plus the community is friendly. :-)

(Without disrespect, please count me out for the keys. I'll be getting the GOG version once it's released).

This is great news. I've played the game a lot during my Windows days but haven't touched it ever since I switched.

If it's done by Icculus then no doubt it will be a good job.

Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition Now Available DRM Free From GOG
27 November 2014 at 2:08 pm UTC

How bug free is the Enhanced Edition in it's current state? I bought it from Beamdog's site last year but I'm willing buy it again from GOG. I know the game had a buggy start but went through a lot of improvements over time, but I'm still slightly worried about any game breaking bugs.

I would be really happy if they port Blackguards, I've been wanting that game on Linux since it was released. News such as this give me hope. *fingers crossed*

Legend Of Grimrock 2 On Linux Is Uncertain
18 November 2014 at 5:17 pm UTC

Sad news, I admit I did jump the gun and assumed this would make a Linux release so I pre-ordered the game. I really hope they'll come around and release it at some point.

Nevertheless, I won't make the same mistake again.

Divinity: Original Sin Delayed For Linux, Again

Dang was hoping to play this on Linux for xmas, I don't mind the slight delay as long as they get it right.

Larian is a good company and caring one towards their fans, I trust them.

Pillars Of Eternity RPG Now Available To Pre-order, New Trailer Too
12 November 2014 at 9:53 am UTC

Although often buggy, Obsidian is very good at making games and I think they'll get it right with this one. Luckily the preorder discount is till 24th Nov, I've got enough time to decide between this or save money for my new rig but I'm definitely buying this.
