Open Fodder, the open source game engine for Cannon Fodder has a new release

My flatpak version is almost working. The only thing is that it does not find the executable when running from a repository. When I test-run it in flatpak-builder it works like a charm. My first flatpak experience, though :-)

I was about to email them about this (and maybe even join the convo here!) but there's no contact towards the author to be found? https://github.com/segrax
I guess the only option left is making an issue? Btw this issue asked about flatpak/appimage/snap. So there is a piece of the puzzle (what that person thinks of this).

I guess the only poblem here is packing the data files into the packages. I mean right-wise, not technical-wise.

Yay! I'm hanging in Zen where you have to hop through that mirror. Framerate was maybe 300fpm... No chance to hop along :)
Prepare for Half-Life: Alyx with the full and complete Beta of Half-Life recreation Black Mesa out now

QuoteIn the Linux version, if you find it crashes on start try removing the "glshaders.cfg" file found with the game files usually in the "bms" folder. This will clear the Black Mesa cache, which can cause issues as it seems to stick between versions. That fully fixed it for me.For me too! I was just starting a new playthrough (after how many years now?). This comes in fantastic! I am currently at the "Three Piston" Level of "Apprehension".

X4: Foundations update 2.60 is out, X4: Split Vendetta and the big 3.0 update both delayed

I can't tell you... just played 2.50 so far... The behaviour is far from reproducible. Sometimes I press "right" and the ship really goes right - until I fiddle around with the hat and then the ship might or might not go straight ahead again - or it strafes up / down wherever... Its not usable at all :-( In the menus my hat is working like a charm - and I never had anywhere else such strange problems with it.

Quoting: PatolaQuoting: loggeThe hat as "POV" strafe is still not working for my T.16000M :-( I am not even able to file a bug report because it behaves so completely strange. Is that new? I remember having configured my HOTAS for X4 without much difficulty. I have been playing with the Steam Controller though.
Nevertheless, thanks to Egosoft to improve the game!

This comes handy in these times when I was playing with the thought of playing it through once more :-) Thank you, Feral!
What have you been playing recently and what do you think about it?

Edit: after reading some replies in this thread I am now aware that I don't need ventures.
What would be cool, though, would be a NPC clothes mod that adds "Vacuum Flowers" skins to some of the NPCs - would be totally pron!

Quoting: PatolaWithout mods. And without ventures.Quoting: loggeX4 - even though some quests appear to be a bit buggy. It has a great depth, and kept me busy 90 hours, so far.Do you play it with or without mods? Do you use ventures?
Compared to X2 it is more easy to progress and make money, so it's up to me how fast I want to be magnate or lay more importance into better know the whole universe.
