I am glad to see Valve is pushing Mesa like this. Hopefully AMD's and Intel's open source graphics drivers benefit from this.

I did not even know this had issues. I am tempted to get it, but promised myself to not get any other multiplayer games and to focus entirely on singleplayer games.

Quoting: KurremkarmerrukI'll be giving this a go tonight. I just hope that the match times are shorter than Dota 2. Seems that way from the things I've read. Saw somewhere that Strife matches are about 20 - 30 mins compared to 40 - 60 mins for Dota 2 (Haven't played much Dota 2 actually, so not sure if that's at all accurate). In my experience and from what I remember, DOTA2 matches ranged from 25 to 70 minutes for me. Most matches were about 35 minutes from what I recall.
Whatever Happened To Torchlight On Linux? UPDATED

Quoting: audirs4Most insolent indeed. I still hope Torchlight for Linux makes it to GOG and Steam. It seems like such a waste to create an entire port and then not fix it up to sell it in more online stores.Quoting: FutureSutureQuoting: KelsTo be honest, I'd rather see Torchlight 2 than the original on Linux. But you go with what you've got I guess. That is the thing, though; Torchlight is already on Linux. It just needs to be made more widely available. Torchlight 2 would be a whole lot more effort. I, too, want to see the latter on Linux, but saying you want one rather than the other when the other is so much closer to a reality (or already a reality) seems illogical.
Still no Linux support for Torchlight on Steam, but looks like Torchlight 2 is available for Linux on Steam. Go figure!

Having read all of the comments on this article thus far, I do very much hope that it is Bioshock and Bioshock 2. I have been asking Feral for those titles for a while, along with Borderlands, Batman: Arkham Asylum, and Batman: Arkham City.

Still means the game could come out for Linux in time for its official release, though, correct?

Quoting: tmtvlAs someone with an AMD card believe me, the OS driver isn't nearly as good as some people claim it is.I see that you use openSUSE. Is that openSUSE 13.2 or openSUSE Tumbleweed you are using? I hope to not sound condescending by saying this, but open source graphics drivers on Linux benefit from the latest Linux and Mesa updates. Do you have the latest version of Linux and Mesa?
X-COM:EU/EW locks the GPU. Anything even remotely taxing will run like a car with cubic wheels.
EDIT: For who is curious: AMD Radeon HD 7770 Cape Verde.

Quoting: BTREI got gifted this during the steam holiday sale and it looks like I won't be playing anytime soon. Not the first time Amplitude has treated its customers, potential or otherwise, this way. A shame. Not the first time? Can you elaborate on any other such instances?
