Albion Online hasn’t exactly been the smoothest of launches so far, but I'm hopeful for the future of it

Quoting: michaGuild UI ( shortcut 'G' ) shows a list of guilds to join (those who opened up the guild to allow join requests). If you are in a guild there are information about your guild instead. If your rank is sufficient there should be a tab in the Guild UI to allow join requests and describe the type of players you are looking for.

But it displays only a fraction of available guilds. A search function for the name would great.

Also if I get random Guild invites it would be good to the banner and other guild settings like tax.

BTW: Do I really have to buy premium for each character separately?

Hm, I thought it shows all if the filters on top match but I might be wrong since I didn't implemented the feature. If you're right a search option would definitely make sense.

Yes, you do have to get premium for each character you play.

Quoting: liamdaweAny plans to allow offline guild invites? I've got tons asking, but being online is an issue.

Not really sure but if I remember correctly it was/is on the backlog though not scheduled. At least not for the next for the next 1-2. Or maybe it was even dropped.

As far as I know, most guilds use the 'Looking for Guild' feature which works _offline_ through the in-game mail system. Basically, in your guild settings UI you open up your guild for others to apply and if the rank is high enough a member can approve/decline any request.
Mmmm, okay, a little weird. Where do people find the place to search for a Guild? I cant see it because I'm already in one?

Quoting: liamdaweWhile you're here, any plans to add in AA as a graphical option?

I actually added FXAA a few days before release. It probably won't go live though before the next major update in ~8 weeks. The reason is that our current working version is already quite different from the live version and would be too risky to just merge that in with a minor update. Also I just added an _Ultra_ quality settings mode (same as high but with AA). Future plans are to have AA and other settings as individual options but not sure what the UI team priorities are atm. So I cannot say which version it will be once deployed live. All I can tell is that AA and possible other nice post-processing options which are currently evaluated by our artists will come to Albion Online in the not too distant future. =)

Btw. for those with launcher problems (only on distributions we do not supported officially support to my knowledge). We now deploy the latest client without the launcher to this URL:

http://live.albiononline.com/clients/albion-online-fullgame-linux.zip

Of course that means you have to manually re-download it every time we deploy a new version/patch.

Quoting: EhvisI can't find it that specific myself it says "PC" on the news posts and "Steam" on the website, which is both rather unspecific. That said, being a UE4 game it wouldn't surprise me if they needed a little extra time to get mac and linux sorted.
This was direct info to me.

Any details on why? Problems porting or just that Linux is a low priority?

Quoting: michaTo be fair, SteamOS as a (console) OS feels indeed quite dead if you look at its user base (roughly 1% of all Linux gamers and Linux itself is around 1% on PCs, right?).

I wondered were you had the 1% of Linux gamers from. Figured out you meant SteamOS itself, seperated from all other "Linuces". Never counted it that way.

Looking at the HW statistics here (gamingonlinux.com) SteamOS is ~1.5% atm for all ppl here entering there HW setup. https://www.gamingonlinux.com/users/statistics

The 1% Linux is pretty much agreed on (Steam HW statistic and several game DEVs are reporting the same. Albion Online does have ~0.5% Linux players for example.)

That said it's still probably the best environment for Valve to push Linux gaming in general with their contributions to drivers, .. and if/when Linux gaming market share rises so might SteamOS.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap released for Linux, tools included to mod the game too

Including the tools are easily justifying a full price buy by itself IMHO. Ofc the game itself probably does too but I can't say yet. =)
