Ron Gilbert did a few posts two years ago when he switched his development setup from Mac to Linux.
He order a Linux laptop, made a post after and a few month later the Linux native version of Dolores was ready for testing and eventually released. (Same in-house engine as Return of Monkey Island.)
IDK if he is still developing on Linux nor the platform plans of Devolver, but my guess is chances are high for a native Linux version.

I want to buy, well at least make a reservation for, a second Steam Deck. But so far still only one per Steam account allowed.

Maybe it's just outdated information on Konami's end?
I didn't work before at least. IIRC even with Proton 6 I had the same issues blocking each game in the collection.

GNOME is Life.
I love the freedom to choose the least customization but most streamlined DE. GNOME has all the defaults I work most efficient with. (I alternate between on 5 Linux machines and prefer to spend my time on other things. I pretty much don't customize anything or therefore don#t need to do any "automatic" synchronization or overhead alike.)
But I can also also see that others prefer to customize their setup to a high detail. I used to enjoy that a lot too. And I'm glad you can with KDE!
Welcome to Linux.

16-bit inspired explosive action-platformer Steel Assault is out now

you can disable the "CRT filter" and enable a "border art" instead if just black for ratios wider than 4:3.
but not change the aspect ratio.
that said. IMHO it looks amazing with the "CRT filter" in 4:3. Maybe the best retro style in that regard I've seen so far!

Quoting: rea987Quote4:3 ASPECT RATIO/CRT FILTERS: Zenovia Interactive founder Sri Kankanahalli designed Steel Assault with the traditional 4:3 aspect ratio to keep the action quick and surprising... just like it was back in the day. Steel Assault’s many filters and video options are adjustable to accommodate a range of gaming setups.
So, can 4:3 aspect filter and CRT filter nonsenses be disabled? If not, I will just pass, cannot stand 4:3 aspect ratio.
