Does anyone know a good, preferably easy, way to get crt-shaders on proton?
I know that for integer scaling one simply can add a launch option, ideally one would want something similar for adding shaders.

EmuDeck removes Yuzu And Citra emulator support

That was nintendo's claim, but they didn't even issue a dmca take-down notice to github, giving a strong indication that even their legal team had doubts as to some of their claims about the legality of the emulation itself.
From what I understand, yuzu's main legal problems were that their devs didn't strictly adhere to a "we can't tell you how/where to get the games"-policy.
Regardless, emudeck does not have the deep pockets required for an effective legal defence against a billion-dollar company in full extortion mode, so I suspect they'll pass up on the opportunity to paint a bullseye on their backs by supporting emulation of a device whose ecosystem is still being commercially exploited.

Quoting: melkemindQuoting: EhvisQuoting: Liam DaweQuoting: EhvisThe interesting thing will be what they do next. The code to both has been preserved and deleting all mirrors is something even Nintendo money can accomplish. So it's only a matter of time until builds will pop up somewhere (possibly under a different name). Will Emudeck pull those in?I think the EmuDeck developers would be pretty stupid if they did pull in some fork, they would be opening themselves up to lawsuits for facilitating what has already been basically declared illegal.
The case was settled. Nothing was declared illegal.
They didn't have to declare anything illegal. Under the DMCA, it was already illegal.

Yuzu agrees to pay Nintendo $2.4 million and will entirely shut down (Citra for 3DS too)

Either that or some of the devs also added a bit from other sources of income, extra mortgages and/or other loans.

Quoting: legluondunetIf Yuzu was able to pay $2.4 million, is it because their Patreon brought in that much?

My gaming library is too big and time too short to put up with nintendo's cultural piracy.
I.e.: why even bother copying the games in question when there's decades worth of competition that won't give you manure for playing on a device of your choice?

New version starts! Love the crt look though the textboxes don't seem to get the crt-treatment. Apart from that, maybe some "glow" between the "pixels" could be a nice extra.
I do seem to be getting the same slowdown that others have reported. Starts off smooth as butter, but performance gets really bad fairly quickly.
Latest linux mint xfce (so: no wayland), with an rx6600. I will check later if a newer kernel could alleviate the issue.

Steam had a bit of a scam problem with fakes of Helldivers 2 and Palworld

I'd be more worried about what sort of malware may have been included in the download.
Reminds me a bit of the recently reported issue of forking attacks on github.

Quoting: pbLol, and what were they counting on? That Valve would just send them the payout without a second thought? I doubt the payments are automatic and if they were, then I'm pretty sure they no longer are, at least for the small devs/games.

On another note: I find it very telling that the yuzu github page doesn't seem to have been hit by a dmca notice.
Indicates to me that nintendo are far less sure of their legal legwork than they pretend to be.

Another one on the it's-not-launching-list here.
OS is the latest Linux mint (xfce), so this was to be expected if the libc issue hasn't been fixed yet.

I'm sure that it will either be legally solid or that nintendo is fully prepared to outspend the defending team. It was only a matter of time before this kind of dmca abuse would reach emulators.
The switch was an ideal indie-gaming device for me, but with the deckalikes that are now available I will be happy to cut my losses on the highly restrictive ecosystem and move on.
Already decided this a while ago, by the way. The device and first party games are nice enough, but to me simply not worth the entitled company that gets attached with them. I'll spend my money and time on games by developers that are not being such cultural pirates, thankyouverymuch.

Or a bit more tongue-in-cheek: "traditionally handcrafted" or "home-made" ^_^
Not sure how well that would be received, though. One never knows nowadays, over the internet.

Quoting: mitridas"Bespoke" and "In-house" are both very good.
What about "Handcrafted"? Might sound more wholesome to non-technical people.
Stay tuned, I'm planning to push an update to Steam today with a bunch of fixes/improvements that hopefully will solve most of the problems you guys reported!
