What have you been playing recently? We've been tinkering with a Raspberry Pi 4

I picked up a Raspberry Pi a few weeks ago and installed Pi Hole for network-wide (DNS based) ad blocking and setup Plex for my music and video library. There are so many other projects that I could be doing with it that I'm tempted to get another.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider - It's not very good so far and performance is pretty meh. The puzzles are tedious and action seems to have dropped off drastically after the first 20 minutes. If you don't figure out the puzzles right away, Lara will repeat the same hint dialogue every few seconds til you get past it. SO damn annoying.

Carcassonne - I've been getting a few friends to play it through Steam's Remote Play Together. It's a solid adaptation of the board game.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Runs really well with proton and is a great game with maybe a few rough edges. Tried to do a no-kill run but accidentally blew up a bunch of people a couple hours in. Oh well.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - Beautiful game in a very grim kind of way. But I don't know if I'm cut out for how difficult it is. Slightly embarrassed to say that I can't get past the first mini boss. Runs fantastically well on proton.

The pretty looking Idaho DLC and 1.38 update for American Truck Simulator are out

They've made Idaho look much better than real life. The southern half of it is rather bleak to drive through.

Hitman 2 - very replayable and weirdly runs much better than the native Hitman from 2016.

Yakuza 0 - some absurd fun with some wild swings in the tone. Though I'm terrible at the karaoke and dancing mini games, they still crack me up.

Far Cry 3 - deeply unlikable main character and his friends all seem shitty as well. But there's something about clearing parts of the map by capturing all of the outposts as stealthily as possible that is rewarding. Then the protagonist speaks and it makes me want to punch his bro face and I'm not at all a violent person.

Celeste - definitely on board with Celeste, but I'm stuck at a point that I can't get past and am getting frustrated.

CSGO - still playing this way more than I should. Recently enabled voice chat again and it's still the same racist, sexist, homophobic cesspool. It was a mistake.

Quoting: brokeassbenI had multi-factor authentication enabled on my account, wiped the phone with the authenticator on it, and can't find my backup codes. So my itch.io account is now lost forever :(
I imagine if you email them, with some kind of proof, they would be quite reasonable about it. You must have some emails somewhere from itch you can dig up to prove ownership.
That is a good idea... Turns out all I had to do was click "Forgot Password" and I was able to sign in and redo my multi-factor authentication.

Quoting: iskaputtDoes anyone use one of these things with a USB DAC? I have an Odroid C2 and audio via USB has been broken since forever. Tried about every distribution under the sun, but all produce some kind of noise or clicks in the audio output.

My plan was to have a multimedia station with batteries included. Kodi, MPD, RetroArch and maybe some server applications like Mumble. I want to connect the audio to my old stereo.

There are a couple companies that make "hats" for the Pi (and possibly Odroid) like JustBoom or DigiOne for people who are into an "audiophile" level sound on their Pi.

Possibly not what you're looking for, but I trust this guy's opinions when it comes to audio and he has a fairly in-depth article and video on using the RP as a DAC. The article is written from audio nerd's perspective rather than a tech or linux enthusiast's.

Quoting: M@GOidThe price of this game is very high here in Brazil. How much it is in the US?
Currently $22.49 on Steam with a 10% discount, but there's no price listed on Humble yet. Google says that equates to 122.34 in Brazilian real. I'm ashamed to admit I didn't know that's what your currency is called.

  • Just Cause 3 - It's so absolutely dumb, but with endless creative destruction.

  • CS:GO - As long as you disable comms and only play Arms Race and single player Danger Zone, you can avoid the terribleness of its community.

  • American and Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Forget about all of the horrible shit happening in the world for a few min and drive a truck around. Way better than it sounds.

  • DiRT 4 - Runs amazingly well and is a blast even if you're terrible at racing games like I am. Having a driving wheel really makes this game.

Cellar Door Games have officially announced Rogue Legacy 2

If it's as good as the first one, definitely worth picking up. Spent many, many hours playing Rogue Legacy and is one of the few non-linear games I've played to the end.
