This is why Linux gamers community should support Valve that invests a lot and support Linux OS. Stop buying your games on Origin, Uplay, Epic, Playstation....stores until they do the same.
I put GOG appart because they give support to Linux users at their level and they promote no drm games.

One of the main reason Linux becomes a platform more interesting for gaming than MacOSX is Vulkan integration.

I'm curious, Steam client is highly configurable and it can even manage more than Steam games.
So what a new Steam client will be more useful for?

Quoting: SirLootALotJust out of curiosity is there any such project for launching and managing steam games, as this would be much more useful for me personally?

I installed it on my portable computer, last XFCE version, and I have to say, for an Ubuntu/Gnome user for several years , that I'm charmed.
After tried a lot of popular Linux distributions, I think this one could be my next day to day Linux distribution.

So much work since 1993, it took them more than 20 years to create an open source MS Windows OS.
Very impressive and ambitious project that nowadays is essential for Linux users/gamers.

Really?
I don't think so, it has a dark theme and you can hide left and right panel to keep only the thumbs view.

How does it work on Linux? You plug it and it just works or you have to tweak?
Could you make different profiles on Linux for each game?

Quoting: Beamboom... But does it really need a second edition? Logitech has had their F710 model for what must be a decade now (if not older? 15 years?), still on the market with no alterations whatsoever. Even the design is untouched, looks a decade old now.
And I still use mine. It's perfect!
I do have Valves too and it's not bad at all. I love the shape of it, sits perfectly in my hands. But when I really want to kick back and enjoy a "console game" session I grab my F710. Two analoge stick is really the combo one needs.
