Retroarch/Libretro works very well on my Linux and it is open source, that all that counts.
More than that, it works on my Raspberry Pi 3 B+ too.
If they forgot to add credits, it's a bad thing, they have to rectify this, it's not correct.
But I didn't forget I was very disappointed when Redream became closed source.
Happily Reicast and Libretro devs continued to port and ameliorate Dreamcast emulator.

xdg-mime take more than 50% processor each time I launch Discord app on Ubuntu 19.04. It's a pity to not support correctly one of the most important used Linux distribution.

I use more and more Lutris to install / manage my games, it became an essential software for me as a Linux player, it's so easy to change Wine version, activate Dxvk or D9vk, restore Desktop resolution after a game quit, install an emulator and so much other handy options.
I like very much this new features in 0.5.3:
- open wine console
- sand boxing bug resolved, no more games files in your personal folders!
- ResidualVM is now functional for Ubuntu users. updated to last git version.

It's impressive how Lutris team had push their gaming platform to a higher level, very nice work.
But they have to make still effort to avoid obsolete installers (scripts), in most (or new) users minds, when Lutris installers do not work, it's Lutris that does not work...But how manage a games libraries installers that will become bigger and bigger?

Certainly the Galaxy software is not available for Linux. However GOG had invested a lot in Linux players for several years now: availability of Linux game version when they are available, DOS games packaged with Dosbox for Linux etc ...
They deserve more respect from Linux community.

I follow Flyinghead and Retroarch team work from several years now, their work are incredible.
And they always gave support to Linux gamers, that's why I support them on Patreon.

They should take this decision long time ago...
Nice 1: they refund their game to Linux gamers without the time played RUST
Nice 2: "Take your refund to support others Linux games developpers..." ? Incredible!
Bad 1: They will not plan to support Proton. Why? Is it so difficult and expensive for them to support Proton?

Anyway, on my side, even if they have finally acted correctly, I will never buy a game from this company, just as I will never buy a game on Uplay or Origin: I give my money first to game developers or companies that support Linux, such as Valve, Feral, Gog... I also buy Windows games that are Wine / Proton compatible.
