An AppImage is not good for you I assume?
I installed it from the AUR on my side.

downloaded it now but it didnt open when clicking for some reason appimages never worked forme

Appimage are made to greatly facilitate Linux users desktop experience, how it is possible this do not work for you? Do you use an exotic Linux Distribution with minimal libraries installed? i just tested emulationstation-de appimage and it just work (after a little chmod +x command).

It is not available on Manjaro repositories, only the old project called emulationstation (without -DE, be careful, it is not the same project, it is an old one and is no more maintained).
But if you enable aur packages in Manjaro, you can install it.

I discovered this retrogaming frontend recently, it corresponds exactly to what I expected from a frontend for all my emulation needs.
The scraping feature is just perfect and there are a lot of themes choice. My current preferred theme is Alekfull NX (Revisited).
I subscribed to their reddit page and last time I asked for help, they were very reactive and they gladly answer your questions.
Now I no more use Retroarch GUI at all.

Quoting: GuestUgh, can someone please re-post the Discord-walled download link for the latest version?
You can download it through their Github actions page. Click on the latest build (that has a checkmark) then scroll down and download the artifact you want.

Or you can download Nightly builds directly from their main Github page:

ScummVM 2.7.0 'The Real Slim Shader' supports even more classics
27 February 2023 at 1:29 pm UTC Likes: 3

What I like in this new release:
- Shaders: less pixels, those old games look so much better with crt shaders
- They fixed serious bugs for Linux users when using ScummVM opengl interface
- They fixed an old SDL bug too for ScummVM surface renderer

I note that ScummVM devs team listen to its users, thank you!

A deserved success and I hope this will continue.

Wine 8.2 rolls out along with a new Proton Experimental update

Quoting: dziadulewiczNowadays i don't know should i install this normal Wine, or should i use Lutris? But, when i tried Lutris: there is no "normal Wine" available to choose from at all but all kinds of customised or "unofficial" Wines.

There is no flatpak or a snap for Wine either (if there was, users could run Wine happily in a sandbox without any fear?)

Once you installed wine vanilla or wine-staging packages from your official distribution package manager, they are available in Lutris too.
With latest version, Proton installed by Steam are available in Lutris too.
And you can still install others wine version, vanilla, staging, proton-ge etc...for Lutris/Bottles/Steam with ProtonUp.

"new shaders to emulate CRT displays"

Very nice new feature! Like the good old days! Our old games are far more beautiful with crt shaders.

I compiled and tested recent scummvm git version and I found some bugs when I activate opengl gui rendering:
scummvm window use a resolution superior to my current screen resolution, I think about a dpi scaling issue, button and font are so little you can no more see them.
More than words:

Someone has the same issue?

Ubisoft just broke their games on Linux desktop and Steam Deck
3 February 2023 at 2:31 pm UTC

Someone can explain technically what cause this error after Ubisoft Connect update?
I saw different causes on internet, all very differents (change MTU, font problem...).
I just tested again, I can reproduce the bug with Proton GE 7.48 on Lutris.
But if I set to Lutris Wine 7.2-2 (Lutris default wine version) it works.
