I wonder how long that will last. I will be the least surprised Picachu if it gets out of early-access and suddenly a Ubi account becomes mandatory.

Quoting: kuhpunktInteresting to see that the devs apparently had so much pull that they talked Ubisoft into releasing it on Steam - with no Uplay Account nonsense being required.

Nice, whishlisted. Just hopping they can get a good game out of a unusual idea. Not all indies trying something different managed to pull it off. I hope this one does.

Also a message for Indie developers: can we have other things that are not metroidvanias? There is another genre of games that are in need of new releases.

Quoting: M@GOidThis is why I buy indie games. There is more in gaming than FPS and third view, open world adventure games.

Well, I'm already doing my part by not making any purchase of anything from the usual suspects in the last decade, like Ubisof and EA. You only encourage them to keep doing despicable things like this, if you keep buying their games. So do not buy them, send this clear message.

Off Topic: hey Liam, are you going to cover the new Contra game? It is already out and have a demo available. I'm curious to see how it works on the Steam Deck, since I found it to be on the heavy side for a side scroller.

PS owners are really upset that their precious exclusives are now available to the PC Master Race®. I was dubious about this until I saw it with my own eyes, when I mentioned it while talking to one of those dirty peasants.

Quoting: KROMI'm just happy I don't have to buy a PS these days to experience games like this.

While this is not a endorsement for Nintendo's behavior, I thought it was common sense you don't create a emulator for a videogame still on sale, or else the manufacturers will send their minions after you.
There are a lot of emulators and even commercial products for previous Nintendo consoles, and I don't see Nintendo going after those.
Like others said above, I think it was pretty dumb of those guys for not only making a emulator for the Switch so soon, but establishing a company based on it. Is like painting a target in their foreheads.

Nice. In the last couple months I was wishing for a modern take on the old Desert Strike. This might scratch that itch. And it will have a Linux port, so whishlisted it is.
