Linux version of 'The Coma: Recut' removed at release after taking pre-orders

Maybe they weren't death threats, they were actually "Hey, I'll buy you a beer, but since the port is bad, It's Pabst Blue Ribbon!" I mean that's pretty close to a death threat, right? :P
That should be how we reward or punish people who do good/bad ports. We'll buy them beers for the port, but it depends on how good the port is on how good the beer is!

But taking it out on the rest of us and pulling the victim card every second time a porter's/dev's work or decisions are criticized is not okay.

That just means he's a celebrity right?
What I don't get is... at what point has civilization degraded so much that support for a video game can cause people to make death threats that you wonder that it's just time to do a 'reset'?
People who make death threats like this should seek professional help. I could see making death threats to child molesters and people who talk in movie theaters. But video game porters?

That is because places like Germany actually have consumer protection, unlike the US where the companies are treated like entities and people are the product.

Astrokill is another great example, where they released a beta, got feedback fixed bugs and released another great game for Linux.

Well, that speaks volumes...
Yep, 99% of the market trumps the 1%.
Quoting: MotionshotThen why don't they release it as beta then on Steam? That way, Linux users who bought the game can help them test it while enjoying their pre-order.
You mean, so the Linux community can slate the developer for "only doing a beta release which is full of bugs and runs like sh*t, lets all tell the developer to die" ?
How can you come up with those things?
No one is doing it right now. Look at the Everspace case ; we are tolerant and co operative enough i think.

There's so many Linux games on sale right now, it's a good time if you're skint

Shouldn't matter, you just put in the key and Steam will assume you have the DLC for either platform, it isn't like the DLCs are usually anything more than assets anyhow.
Weird, when I looked at it just a short time ago, it showed them separately, now they are listed as 'Deluxe Edition'. I can give away my key if anyone wants it, I already have both.

Can anybody see a DRM-Free download of the Whistleblower DLC for Linux? I can only see a windows one.

Is it weird that the hostname for my desktop system is 'skint'?
Ashworld, the pixel art survival game styled like Mad Max is now in Early Access, it's good

This was officially released (so out of EA) yesterday. Time to buy it!

From my understanding of this, there were quite a few ports that were unique to Humble Bundle as well. Pretty sure Legend of Grimrock was ported by them, which is why we never saw a part two....

Quoting: GuestQuotesince their original mission was cross-platform indie games.
Well, their original mission had been cross-platform DRM-free indie games(*). But yes, I see them as the ones that made the Linux-Gaming truck roll (again, after Loki failed). BIG kudos for that! A pity the HIBs are so rare nowadays :(
(*)This probably is the root why I still have the something's-not-right feeling when I see 'Indie-Games' that are only available via steam.... :o

Arma 3 for Linux updated to 1.70, it’s now 64bit and solves the texture issue I had

I was thinking the same thing. The work would definitely be worth it IMO.
For the controller issues;
Try modifying /etc/modules-load.d/modules.conf and put uinput into it.

Quoting: KithopQuoting: evergreenDid you try it? Did they implement Joystick support on linux too? I'm also waiting for joystick working.
I actually have a different issue with Steam (Beta) right now where basically none of my controllers work... in game. Oh, my Steam controller works totally fine in Big Picture mode to browse the menus and things. Then I go to fire up a game and.. no controller detected. Arma 3 doesn't, tried Broforce as well (which used to work).
I swear I did the udev rules fine, but maybe not, and I have to revisit just what's going on there. Unfortunately that means I can't test much at the moment.
Quoting: GuestIt has nothing to do with "the wrapper". We implement DirectInput. However it's implemented on the back of the SDL Gamepad mapping system. To support raw HID devices fully would be a lot more work.
Ouch - this is... unfortunate. One of the biggest draws to a game like Arma 3 is that it's not just a foot-soldier thing; you can hop into vehicles, and especially in the case of aircraft, have relatively realistic flight models and controls. Trying to mouse-and-keyboard that is painful.

Impressive! I like buying games from them for this reason and I get 10% off, and.. well cheap games to add to my huge library.
I also tend to randomly give away extra keys.
