Quoting: Kithop...did they finally fix HID support? Like, can I use a controller to fly a chopper without right trigger being double-mapped to yaw right and 'fire guns', with no way to remap it? :p

Basically this is because we are currently limited to XInput type support, which only covers gamepads with Xbox controller like functionality. Flight sticks and wheels are generally more extensive DirectInput type devices.

For the more extensive controls to work we would have to work on supporting joysticks at a much lower level, which is difficult.

That's unfortunate. Here i was thinking for a moment "Oh, doesn't SDL basically give that for free?" but then remembered this is kind of a Wine style wrapper, and it probably only has Xinput support.

I've been wanting to start up a wiki for Linux Games with controller support. I can personally test Steam Controller, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, X52 Pro, Logitech G27, and I even have an Atari Jaguar -> USB adapter along with a DB9 one for Sega / Atari / Commodore controllers :) OH, let's not forget my Mayflash F300 which can emulate either DirectInput or Xinput.

Better yet, can I use my G27 wheel+pedal combo to drive ground vehicles and my X52 Pro HOTAS for flight and mouse & keyboard for on-foot without them all messing each other up, like I can under Windows? ;)

I guess I'll have to test these at some point and report back. I can live with being a bit behind the Windows version in terms of raw features/patches, but that was an absolute deal breaker for me playing under Linux. What's the point of having a HOTAS + wheel if I can't use them, etc.

I have the same combo of controllers! Though to get more specific, I have the Roccat Ryos MK FX and Roccat Tyon for keyboard / mouse too.

Yeah, I played Temple of Apshai Trilogy a lot on my Atari ST back in the day. Never did beat it though. Lovely game!

The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2

So, sorry to bring up an old topic here, but was just trolling around Atari forums and thought "You know, maybe I could use RPG Maker to recreate some of the great oldies like the DunjonQuest games! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunjonquest so then I started looking on humble bundle store (I think that's where I got at least one of the older versions of the program) and noticed their store page doesn't even show Linux support for RPG Maker MV. So I sent them a request to add that to their store page.

Anyone make anything cool with this yet?

Survival game ‘Rust’ updated with a new Unity version & our server is now on a fresh map

I really really wish they'd port Conan Exiles. Would love to have a GamingOnLinux for that one. I had tried Rust for a short time a while back but yeah it was very crash-y so I uninstalled it. I'm installing it again now.

I'd rather some more co-op with the environment being the enemy type game to be honest though. Does this work this way as well, assuming all the players don't want to just kill each other.

Quoting: GuestLmao it's called 'My Ex-Boyfriend the space Tyrant' and it's gay as fuck.

My confusion wasn't helped by the fact that there is a Space Tyrant game as well that looks kind of fun.

Quoting: TheBardDon't confuse crap games with games that are not your taste. Crap games are those littered with bugs or just made of assets bought on a store, but considering the positive review on these titles, i doubt this is the case here. If you don't like it, just don't buy/play.

Crap is crap whether it was properly shat or not.

That is so Zen!

Quoting: elmapuli want to buy this games, but i'm not sure if any girl will want to be my girl friend knowing that i have such games on steam xD.
(well some fujoshis will not mind)

Well as a game collector I accidentally got My Ex-Boyfriend the Space Tyrant without me knowing and I was using ASF Bot to get the steam cards but friends can see my activity which games I am playing. After a while a friend msg "I didnt know that you like gay stuff".... I was like......... "EEHhHhHH? WTF???? :O

Well thats the price that all game collectors have to pay in order to grab all the games...

Not sure if this post got so many likes because you're a girl who games, or that you have an ex-boyfriend and are single...

But is it this Space Tyrant you're talking about? http://store.steampowered.com/app/562230/Space_Tyrant/ Not sure what's 'gay' about it...

Maybe I'm just confused 'cause it' almost 5am here and I can't sleep... when you have insomnia everything is a copy of a copy of a copy....

You sure seem to be tired :)

The capitalization hints at " My Ex-Boyfriend" being part of the game title, though I didn't double-check.

I liked the post because the anecdote was funny, and I can relate as a "game collector" ;)
It seemed to me that wolfyrion was male, although I learned long ago not to make any assumptions about people's gender on the Internet (or to care about it, for that matter... :D)

HAHA! Yeah totally did NOT catch that. And indeed there is a game called "My Ex-Boyfriend the Space Tyrant." and indeed it does contain gay male characters. Yeah, I don't assume gender at all, the text and insinuation that they had an ex-boyfriend but was not into gay things made me think that they must be female.

I'll just try to refrain from posting on forums when deprived of sleep. But then again, this was definitely a good laugh.
