Pro; native Steam Controller support.
Con: lack of split screen, couldn't find online games.
Is anyone still playing this? Games like this are crap be c ause once people stop playing, you are left with only skirmish mode.

The Witcher 3 didn't come to Linux likely as a result of the user-backlash from The Witcher 2

This is so true. I've been using Linux since you could install Debian via a floppy drive, and it had zero hardware detection to now it detects all of the hardware, and can even read firmware blobs off the install disk (if you downloaded the non-free one) or off a USB stick for any hardware that needs it.
Compare this to Windows. Now since Windows 8 it has gotten a lot better, but a lot of times they are generic drivers that don't have all the features the ones from the vendor have. In the case of Linux, it IS the vendor in 99% of cases, and they keep support for older hardware where Windows tends to drop it.
The main difference though in the install of each OS. With most Linux distributions you can install anything via command line or graphical package manager easily. With a fresh install of Windows you have to install everything by hand to make it usable.

Oh god yes.
Well, my biggest complaint is that the section where it shows if it's local co-op, single player, achievements, controller support, etc... is on the STORE page. Once you buy the damn game, if you are looking through your library for something, you have to keep bouncing between the store and the library is incredibly annoying. I have 830 games under Linux and 1980 under Windows, so imagine how long it takes to even scroll through my library...
I to have ended up putting my games in a local co-op section, but sometimes games are kind of off on what they support. For example the 'co-op beta' of Satellite Reign isn't actually a local co-op mode, even though it clearly shows that it is. Their 'local co-op' is LAN play.... Which is NOT how anyone else defines it.

Quoting: WendigoI hope they will add the search filters from the shop page to the games library.
When searching for games that have local / online multiplayer or coop play you are forced to look up each game separately.
I have several hundred games in my library so that might take a while.
This really annoys me about steam.

I probably would have finished the first one by now if it'd been ported. I know it sometimes works great in wine (when I was first trying it, worked perfect, second time around everyone was missing their lower portion of their bodies!)
Still stuck on the first boss...

I am kind of on the Fence about Paradox's DLC thing. As others have said it's both a bad thing and a good thing. What they should do as they are released is occasionally do discounted "DLC bundle", I have seen where they do it, but with the amount of weird 2 dollar DLC things that just add another nations icons/music etc, they should bundle like 10 of them at 15 bucks.
But on the other hand, who supports a game for longer than a year or two these days? No one, you just kind of have to hope that the community starts to release mods for it. Paradox's games have both!

Ha, what is up with this? So we recently got Dragon's Lair, which I bought for my Atari Jaguar CD. This game looks like a MUCH better version of Club Drive for the Jaguar. And this thread mentions Rocket League, which I compare to Ballblazer on the Atari 8-bit/5200. Rocket League is that exact game except you can go vertical too.

Ha, during this attempted play session, I discovered that my A/V receiver attempts to take a composite input and output it through HDMI. I say attempt, because it looked like the horizontal 'hold' was missing, so the screen just kept flipping up and down. Thought for sure my Jaguar had finally bit the dust, but no, I just had to switch over to the 'DVD' input, that I have it hooked up to.
Need to get the S-Video cable and figure out how to convert that tot something so it looks better at 55inch...

Pretty much all the arcades were.
Fun story; The guy who ported Roadblasters to the Atari Lynx posted about his experience with doing that. Apparently there was code in the arcade which made it so once you got to a certain point your fuel would just drain much faster, forcing you to pump in more quarters. Fortunately he changed that in the Lynx.
I see that both Space Ace and Dragon's Lair is on sale, but sadly Space Ace doesn't show support for Linux. Anyone know if we have to wait another 4 years for it?

Quoting: barottoI remember playing Dragon's Lair in the arcades as a child. It was not very friendly to casual players like me though... It required a lot of practice, time, and money. It was designed to suck your wallet dry, basically.
