Action RPG Victor Vran updated with an interesting Dynamic Resolution graphical option, local co-op coming soon

Damn, I already started playing this Single Player and put in quite a few hours, but now I'm going to have to start over and play it with my brother. It'll be a game to play when we're sick of Helldivers on the PS4, or stuck on Divinity: Original Sin (which is epic local co-op)

Crusader Kings II: The Reaper’s Due now available, brings more death and pestilence

Oh, I knew about the Game of Thrones one, but not the Elder Scrolls, and will definitely have to check out the Historical Immersion Project.

My problem is when I do have free time, I spread it out across far too many projects (like getting my Amiga / Atari computers set up and play around with them, or trying to teach myself scripting, etc.) It's getting to the point where I need to build myself a schedule around having fun and getting things done. Sad, I know.

So now if you could have someone play Plague Inc vs Crusader Kings 2, how much of a blast would that be? I wish I had more time to get into CK2, Hearts of Iron 4 Seemed a bit quicker/easier to get into. CK2 sounds really awesome and I think my steam account says I've played it for hours, yet it's mostly that I've loaded it up, tried figuring out how to play it, then closed it down, and that makes me sad.

I'm going to attempt to get it a shot again now that I've bought this as well.

Looks like Subnautica from the Natural Selection 2 developers won't get Linux support

It's kind of sad being a Vive owner. Not only is this game currently not slated to come for Linux (so no reason to buy yet), but it supports the Oculus Rift and not the Vive, so another reason not to buy it. It does look pretty cool though. Too bad.

For the earlier comment about 'any idiot can make a game now'. Yeah, pretty much. There are some 15 year olds on the Vive reddit who are making games for VR! Granted they're potentially cooler than a lot of the stuff coming out of AAA studios.

Valve turns 20 years old today, happy birthday! A brief look at their Linux history

I saw a thing yesterday saying that Debian was 23 (granted I was a few days late, since it was founded on 8-16-93). Crazy that Valve has been around that long.

Deus Ex: Mankind Divided looks like it may be getting a Linux & SteamOS release

I only ever played the very first one, and that game was awesome. Every time I tried playing the sequels, I just couldn't get that deep into them. When they released the updated texture packs, my intention was to win the first, then try to go through all of them. But damned if I have the time! While I got really far into the first one, a friend beat it shortly before I could and ruined the ending for me. But now it's been so many years I've forgotten it, so I should be able to enjoy it!

Trailers to this one looked amazing, looking forward to hopefully playing it native on Linux! It's far more likely I'll win it that way, so many games I don't play because I don't want to reboot.

Frozen State survival game survives Early Access, full version available, falls flat on its face

The funny thing about saying it feels off and clunky... that's how No Man's Sky felt to me. Like why can't I be in the ship and head straight into the planet... it only lets me dip down and up a tad... really annoying.

I'm not sure if I have this game or not, I probably do, maybe I'll give it a shot, but yeah when it feels off like No Man's Sky. And before anyone says anything, I played it in Windows and was getting close to a constant 60fps, so it wasn't frame rate, just game play.

Nine Parchments, a co-operative blast'em up game of magic mayhem announced from Frozenbyte

Looks more like Helldivers than Magicka, okay granted I think both of those are made by the same developers, but Magicka has a certain... well I'd like to refer to it as strategy, but let's face it, it's a pain in the ass! So much fun though! Helldivers is more... well it's also a pain in the ass, but gameplay wise looks just like this one, massive amounts of enemies to come to kill you and twin controller action.

Here's hoping it is like Magicka 2 and directly supports the Steam Controller, it's one of the only games I've played that has full support of it, showing the correct buttons on screen even.

I'll agree with seven, Frozenbyte has been very good to us. Even the games that didn't initially have Linux support they've gone back and ported for us, like Shadowgrounds, though I think the Linux version of Shadowgrounds isn't on Steam? At least last time I looked it seemed like it wasn't.

This pre-alpha video of BATTLETECH looks quite amazing

Whoa, I didn't know about this! I was just telling my younger brother last night that someone needed to make a proper Battletech turn based game last night! Awesome.

I already have Alladin and the Lion King on my Amiga! Guess that still counts as Abandonware, eh?
