I'd buy it if I didn't already own it :D The developers are top notch guys. I sent in a request for steam keys for the Postal Fudge Pack, and they happily gave it to me, along with an extra key for Postal 2 (since they accidentally gave me that key at first instead of the one for Postal 1. But for them to support their software this long after release is amazing.

I've still as yet gotten asked to do the survey on Linux. I've gotten it on Windows once, and didn't actually take it because I'm rarely in Windows. One would think they'd try to even out those who take it.

Grand Ages: Medieval Strategy Game Released For Linux, Some Thoughts

Good to hear, STiAT, I should play it some more, I got through the tutorial and built up some roads, then was distracted by something else.
A lot of times I have the problem of not being able to be sucked into a game for a long period of time, so I end up 'sampling' a lot of games. Like Wasteland 2, wanted to play through it, stopped playing it after a bit, then "We're coming out with a Director's cut!" so I put that one off...
Of course it also hurts that I have almost 500 games (for Linux) under Steam, plus whatever ones I have on GOG...
I did pre-order this game, and I don't do that very often. Mainly because Kalypso has been awesome recently for Linux, and I really liked Tropico 5 (amazed they made it as playable as they did with a game pad).

Ha, I still need to sit down and learn CK II. I just have so many other games to play. Maybe I'm not terribly far into SOMA yet, but besides a few little jump scares, I haven't been horrified in the same way I was with Penumbra.

Been waiting for this one, installed it, and ran it and... instant crash after flashing some boxes on the screen. I'm assuming others have had better luck?
Anyone else seeing this? Granted I'm running this with optirun on my Zenbook UX501 with Arch Linux, so it could very well be my setup. I wanted to see the performance on a 4k screen with the semi-decent GTX 960M in this machine.

This is what I thought was being talked about! This could be a blast.
Actually I have a 7 Days to Die server set up that no one really plays on. I was thinking for the Gaming on Linux community I would not mind setting up a server of whatever game (I have almost 500 games on Steam, so pretty much any of the major ones could be on there). If someone would like me to set something up, I most definitely could.

Quoting: bryanquigleyI was thinking it would be a bunch of Linux gamers getting to together to play some games multiplayer.. more like a virtual LAN party.
I actually did one back before Steam was on Linux -

With some newer games being Linux vs Linux only, this might also be useful there.

Sword Coast Legends Fantasy RPG Release Delayed Until October

From what I've seen/read of it, it doesn't have an editor like Neverwinter Nights, even though it should. It seems to be more like what Dungeon Keeper was originally advertised as, the ability for a DM to interact directly with the players through NPCs that are dropped along the way.
Then again, this was the 'head start' which was missing a lot of functionality from what I could tell.
So a few things I don't like about it.
1) it's limited to 4 players (5th being the DM).
2) When you die, you respawn at the beginning of the dungeon without losing anything. Granted in this day and age with wimpy players, it's not terribly surprising.
3) This might be the fault of 5th Edition D&D, but it seemed to be missing classes. It only had a Wizard, Rogue, Cleric, Paladin, Ranger, and Fighter (at least if I'm recalling correctly). Where is the Druid?
4) 'Real time fights with pausing' This should be an option, just go for turn based combat or real time with cool downs. RTWP in multiplayer has got to be pretty horrible. I think I mostly blame the D&D combat system more than game design though.
It's otherwise pretty fun, especially for the initial dungeon crawl random generator.

You can play it in 'private' mode. Wasn't aware of setting that the first time I played it and a few random people hopped in. First time I played a dungeon crawl it seemed properly balanced and was taking me a nice long time to level up, mostly killing goblins and died quite a few times.
Second time I played it, I gained two levels rapidly and was dying a lot because I put drow in there somehow...
Anyhow, pretty fun, though apparently a lot of D&D fans are pissed off it's not truly 5th Edition and has skill trees like Diablo.

The real question is, when is the SteamVR coming out and will this game support it? I know there is a mod for doing it on Windows with the occulus rift, but this game just begs for VR.
D&D Classics 'The Genie's Curse' And 'Kingdom Simulator' Released On GOG For Linux

Saw these on GOG the other day, bought them. Hopefully at some point I'll have time to play all the games I have..... Been looking for an awesome RPG to play lately, Pillars of Eternity looked like it could be the one, but I don't like the controls on it. Fired up the 'head start' of Sword Coast Legends, people are complaining it's not D&D... May end up just going to the classics :D
